I love my food and I cannot say no to good food… that will be on of the reason I am plus sized and cannot slim down as much as I vainly try to attempt… and well, how can anyone say no to good food for that matters..

My little girl would say that to her , food is life!! And I can see where she is coming from… and come Ramadan, the time for feasting in the evening begins, after a long full day of fasting… No doubt it is not really the correct practice, since fasting is for us to remember the less fortunate, and feel how they feel, but indulging once or twice a week in these feasts are definitely highly recommended…

So yours truly here was over at the Cinnamon Coffee House at the One World Hotel which is right next to the 1 Utama Shopping Centre to check out their oh-so-mouthwatering spread with a few other friends and blogger friends…

The spotlight this year is on the stalls and live cooking concept that will be featuring 6 specialty soups to warm up your evening.  I really loved the sup gearbox as well as the hot and spicy Sze Chuan type soup.. A couple of blogger friends swore that the fried fish egg coupled with the fish head curry was simply orgasmic…

You will definitely be spoiled for choice at the buffet spread because of the many interesting food offerings that includes Kerabu, Spiced Bubur Lambuk, Murtabak, Pasembur, Rendang Minang, Daging Kawah and Pulut Serawa Durian in a local bazaar like setting.

It is said that the very dedicated Executive Sous Chef, Saiful Baharin Abdul Wahid, or better known as Chef Bob took two months to finalise the menus together with his great culinary team. And with that, they believe that the passion of cooking will be reflected in the taste of the food presented which was obviously true….

You will also find an eclectic mix of Chinese, Indian, Japanese and Western fare, local hawker delights, mixed grilled items and seafood on ice, which is ideal for some people who feel like they have had too much of our rich Malay cooking…I personally love the Spaghetti Vongole, Japanese noodles soup, and that roast lamb…..

For sweet surprises, don’t forget to indulge your sweet tooth in the Bubur Pengat Pisang, Bubur Nangka and Sago, Ais Cendol, Ais Kacang and you really should not miss the luscious Baklava, Belgian Waffle, cakes and dainty French pastries such as Caramel Peanut Slice, Apricot Short Cake, Mango Yoghurt, Strawberry Cheese Tartlets and so on…..

Wash it down with some “Detox” compote (or rather prettily infused water) and it would be just perfect to settle your stomach….
