Yours truly was over at the Ancasa Residences last weekend for their “buka puasa” (breaking of fast event which was also a CSR program done by the management of UDA Holdings with some orphans from the Yayasan Anak Yatim Daerah Port Dickson
There were about 40 orphans who attended the function with their caretakers and other guests including members of the media..Afterall, for Muslims, Ramadan is the time to do good and remember those less fortunate.
For this year’s Ramadan buffet theme, Ancasa Residences presents “Selera Desa Nostalgia 60’an” (which roughly translates to Nostalgic 60’s Village Temptations – my own translation ya, so sorry if it does not seem right… hahaha)
And for this, diners at the buffet will be treated to lovely traditional music from the 60’s… we were entertained by the melodious Caklempong, and other traditional musical instruments which names I cannot think of at the moment…
Anyway there are about 120 different kinds of dishes being served at the Ramadan buffet including Live Action stations that will whet diners’ appetites such as Apam Balik, Mini Murtabak, Northern Meehoon Soup, Grilled Chicken Wings, Grilled Fish, Lok-Lok, Roti Jala etc….
Other delicious dishes to tempt guests and diners would be traditional favorites such as Ayam Panggang Percik Negeri, Udang Masak Lemak Nenas Muda, Pucuk Ubi Masak Lemak Tempoyak, Asam Pedas Ikan dengan Bunga Kantan bersama Terung, and an asoortment of local favorite soups..
The dishes and menu had all been inspired and thought up by Ancasa Residence’s Chef Moses. It is definitely no easy feat trying to serve delicious and tempting dishes made from over 1001 types of secret herbs and spices to please all palates.
Of course, there is always a perfect sweet ending to your meal as Ancasa Residences serve up both modern as well as traditional desserts from Kuih Melayu, Bubur Kacang, an assortment of cakes and jellies/ pudding guaranteed to tempt you…. not to forget our lovely tropical fruits…
What makes this Ramadan buffet a must go to place is because of the spread and the great tasting dishes, except maybe the pecal which was different from the Javanese ones I was used to but maybe it is the way the Negeri Sembilan people ate it… and the price!!!
Can you believe it??!! All these generous spread for just RM38 nett!! It is practically a steal!! So if you are in Port Dickson or the vicinity you REALLY have to stop by Ancasa Residences Port Dickson here and indulge yourself and your family members or friends with the great and affordable “Selera Desa Nostalgia 60-an” Ramadan Buffet which is currently ongoing up until 3rd July 2016 from 7pm to 10pm…
