I was over at the AnCasa Residences in Port Dickson over the weekend with my husband and daughter via an invitation by the people from AnCasa Hotel and Resorts. It was definitely timely as I badly needed a little escapade cum staycation- we all really need a little break from the hustle and bustle/ rat race of Klang Valley, and Port Dickson was definitely a great choice considering that it was a lovely little beach town, just slightly over an hour’s drive from Gombak, where I live.
Address: AnCasa Residences Port Dickson , Batu 8 1/2, Jalan Pantai Teluk Kemang, 71050 Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia
AnCasa Residences pride itself for their beautiful apartments furnished in ethnic style which are quite spacious, and pretty cozy, ideal for families or a group of friends…We had a two bedroomed apartment to ourselves…
Strangely though the apartment I was given came with two twin beds in each of the two rooms and I am sad to note that there was a little bit of stale sweat smell lingering around which wasn’t too pleasant. Hopefully the housekeeping and management will invest in some air freshener or a room deodorizer.
There were two toilets in my apartment, one in the master bedroom an another one a general one outside.
The toilets come with basic amenities such as toilet rolls, plastic cups, soap, shampoo, vanity kit, sanitary bag and shower cap. The shower is however an old fashion kind of shower which works fine
The kitchen was pretty spacious with coffee tea making facilities and a refrigerator with four bottles of RO water in it.
I understand all the apartments are equipped with a little kitchen, living area, wardrobe and dressing table and individually air-conditioning. Other facilities include television, hair dryer and telephone.
Another thing I was disappointed is that there is no internet access in my room. Internet access was limited to the ballroom and also lobby of the hotel.
I sneaked a peek into another apartment which has a lovely queen sized bed in the room….
This is my balcony…It is said that there are two things people love about Port Dickson which are the sunsets and the sea.. and from my apartment balcony, I could catch a glimpse of both the sunset and the sea… and it was magnificent… and guess what… I could also see the sunrise, which was slightly less spectacular, of course.….
Take a stroll around the lovely AnCasa Residences and you will find lovely swimming pools and wading pools the children will delight in and which beckon invitingly to the guests….
There is a nice little lounge area to surf the internet at the lobby area as well…
….as a pretty well equipped gymnasium for all fitness buffs and gym bunnies…
The Ancasa Residences Port Dickson has its own food and beverage outlets. There is the Saffron Brasserie that offers delicious local and western dishes. There is also a steamboat place with pretty very reasonable pricing. You can enjoy your meal ala carte or buffet style with the cool sea breeze playing in your hair.
I really love that the AnCasa Residences has a very beautiful Nusantara/ Balinese type garden with lovely pathways and a nice pond with fishes, the spa area and even a court for beach volley ball, tennis etc…. It was indeed very picturesque but again I noticed some of the flaws of not being well maintained/ kept, which was kinda sad.
The pathway leads to a little exit/entrance to the beach area… And the beach here is simply gorgeous with fine powdery sand. You can see the Cape Rachado Lighthouse on the left as you gaze out to the horizon…
Overall, I have to say that my stay was pretty comfortable and I really love the apartment (minus the stale sweat smell) and the breathtaking and beautiful environment of the AnCasa Residences Port Dickson.
Let’s hope the management or maintenance/housekeeping staff make more effort to clean and maintain this beautiful paradise , and hopefully install a good internet network and I would gladly come back here anytime…
