Hotel Review: Legoland Hotel Malaysia: Pirate Room (Halloween)

LEGOLAND Hotel is where kids are the star guests and where memories are created to last.

With a selection of 3 different themed rooms, you live your imagination and enter a world of swashbuckling pirates, brave knights or powerful pharaoh.

Although this would be the third time I am here at the Legoland Hotel, I cannot start grinning from ear to ear when I see the hotel and step into the lobby… This is where I indulge and let my inner child out…. As a kid, I have loved my lego loads…. So this is an absolutely must go place for lego fans.

Just as you step into the lobby, there is a huge castle (this one covered by cobwebs, considering it near Halloween) and a giant ship in lego ‘waters’ at the lobby. This is after all the best kid friendly and family oriented hotel in Malaysia.

The wall behind the reception counter never fails to attract my attention… because well, there are just thousands of lego characters glued there, though you can view it through the wheels of a much larger lego character on a bicycle’s wheels which happens to be a magnifying glass…

I could not get enough of the Halloween corner with all the spooktacular decorations there as well, because of Halloween….

The check-in time is 4pm but you can register earlier and leave your luggage in the luggage room while you go off to visit the Theme Parks. The hotel will contact you around about 4pm when your room is ready and you can collect your room key at your leisure.

Getting into the elevators is a real fun thing, and it might just cure any claustrophobia…since you can find a disco ball and piped in music playing “We Are Family” and a few other tunes and my kids cannot resist showing off their disco moves whenever we are alone in the elevators…heaven knows what kind of moves the cameras inside the elevators catch whenever their guest cannot resist gets jiggy with it… hahahahah.

Once you get out of the elevator, you will step into the world of ah well, … the theme of your choice…

In my case, this time, it is the Pirate theme…. We went all the way to the other end of the corridor since my room was almost at the end…

We knocked on the door and gave salam(a gesture of respect, just in case anyone or anything is in there) and entered our very own pirate cabin decked out with pirate bedding, curtains, wallpaper and even Polly, a LEGO parrot and a monkey guarding the treasure that you or the children can unlock once you/they complete finding clues throughout the room.

you have to love the fact that there is two adult dressing gowns and two kid sized dressing gown as well…

I like the fact that the kids’ room are separated from the parents for privacy, which translate to free space for them to do their own things…the kids room has a bunk bed, pull-out trundle bed and a TV, duplo set in their room.

You really should bring your kids here and stay at least a night at here at the hotel, it would truly be a huge treat for them…

Our room or the adult room came with a full bright red and white striped pirate sail on top of the bed. The bed duvet and the curtains came all matched in red and white stripes as well. Yes, we had our own TV too and I just loved the view from my room….. huhuhu

My thoughts: I love the room, the decor, and comfort is top notched… however I did have a little problem struggling and fiddling with the air conditioning and the TV, but other then that everything was perfect….WiFi was good and breakfast at the Bricks Family restaurant was an amazing experience for the kids.

For Halloween, we even got to enjoy some live performance in the lobby in the evening after our dinner…

There are Lego shops in the lobby of the hotel… but if you need other things like snacks, water, medication, just check out the Mendini (mall? ) next to Legoland Hotel/ in front of Legoland .. there where you can find KFC, food outlets, shops, and so on….

  2. I’m already 24 but if ever my parents will bring me here, I’ll still jump for joy. Haha!! I’ve never been to Legoland, given that I’ve been in Malaysia and a theme park fan. I heard it is really for kids so maybe someday when I have one of my own. I didn’t knew they even have a hotel. I hope they expand and add more themes. ❤️
