I have always been pretty fascinated by BASE jumping… it is where you see people jumping off high places and parachuting down with grace…and wished I could see them up close…and I got to do so when I got an invite to go watch it…
The prestigious and internationally-acclaimed extreme sports event, the KL Tower International Jump Malaysia 2016 happened from the 30th September 2016 until the 3rd October 2016 from 8 am to 6 pm for the day jump, and 8 pm to 10 pm for the night jump at the KL Tower Sky Deck, 300 metres above sea level…
It had initially been organized in conjunction with KL Tower’s 3rd anniversary celebration on 3rd October 1999, but somehow became an annual event for KL Tower, and it has also been listed in the Malaysian Book of Records as the first base jump event in Malaysia
Originally known as BASE jump, BASE is the acronym for Building, Antenna, Span and Earth, which represent objects used as the BASE jump landing area…
This annual event is held to offer fans of BASE jumping a chance to jump off KL Tower.
This year sees the the participation of over 120 international jumpers from different parts of the world from Australia, United States, Switzerland, South Africa, Japan, Mexico and on, including a few Malaysian jumpers as well..
It sure is interesting watching the different ways and positions the jumpers choose to jump off the jump point….
And, because of the KL Tower International Jump Malaysia 2016, KL Tower offered visitor a special package, “Sitting on the Ledge” where visitors got to watch the jumpers in action up close at the jump point for either the day jump or the night jumps. Visitors also got to experience the thrills of KL Tower’s latest attraction, the Sky Box where you can bravely attempt to get over your fear of heights and step onto the glass flooring of the floor and see the KL City below your feet and all around you….
I have also been pretty envious of some of my friends who had had the opportunity to checked step foot in the Sky Box located on the Sky Deck of KL Tower…
And another of my bucket list was to be able to sit on a ledge somewhere high and dangerous… hahahah….so there… checked and checked… two bucket list crossed off my personal list…
The KL Tower or better known as Menara Kuala Lumpur to the locals is the 7th tallest telecommunication tower in the world and the tallest in Southeast Asia. Standing tall at 421 meters in the center of KL city… there is a Sky Deck, Observation Deck, revolving restaurant, cafe, souvenir stalls, a mini zoo, a mini aquarium, an upside down house, shuttle service as well as ample parking spaces. The tower is open from 9am to 10pm daily…
Address: KL Tower/ Menara KL , Jalan P Ramlee, Kuala Lumpur, 50250 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur

The view sure looks stunning babe but I think the jumping would have made me hold on to the ledge instead of letting go,lol. I am sure it was amazing to watch though so cheers to all the lovely photos ❤

That is one scary base jumping photos. Just by looking at those pictures, I was thinking these guys might still fall even if they have chutes. I think I already know that I have fear of heights. That glass box still gave me a worry when you were sitting there.

I enjoyed myself tremendously up there. Wouldn’t mind jumping as well, if it wasn’t too expensive. LOL! Maybe I’ll save the money for another skydiving session though.
