“Face Your Fears” at Nights of Fright 4, Sunway Lagoon Malaysia

Everyone has something they are afraid of, and well, most of us fear what goes bump in the night…

My youngest daughter has the third eye and can sometimes see spirits, but she was fearful of all the dramatic makeup human “ghosts” creeping around had on. And yes, most of us are also freaked out by psychotic clowns, creepy crawlies and the dark…and yes, there are definitely many of those with the exception of creepy crawlies in Sunway Lagoon as light gives way to the darkness…..

From 7th October up until the 31st of October 2016, Nights of Fright 4 (NOF4) will bring visitors face to face with their fears through local urban legends, Hollywood icons and a modern dystopian story brought to life…….

This year, Sunway Lagoon offers us all “Frights, Fear and Fun” through the best horror themes surrounding Asia with a ghastly den of eight haunted houses, siz scare zones and 11 after-dark amusement rides…

Screams can be heard from CHAONEI No #81 in UV3D: Beijing’s most famous haunted house… haunted from the tragic concoction of a forlorn love and guilt because of the torrid love affair of a prostitute named Lu Dieyu which ended in tragic suicide of Lu. She now possesses this haunted house filled with apparitions in UV3D!..

CHAONEI is said to be not too scary but my younger daughter dug in her heels and refused to go into the houses…

DIYU – Journey of Judgement brings you into the realm of the dead through the ‘Court of Hell’ depicting various tortures and punishments for different sins one has committed in their lifetime. You could be reborn as a human or as an animal. Are you ready to be judged?

DIYU is not too scary and ideal for beginners, and after some arguments and convincing, my younger daughter agreed to come along… It is really a nice walk in a park with pretty scenic sights with a few surprises, heheehh…..

The Malaya High School was once an established high school is now in ruins after a mysterious fire broke out killing all the students and teachers. It was left abandoned never to be opened again and word has it that you can hear the horrifying screams of the victims calling for help. Vague apparitions have also been eye-witnessed at the school’s windows. ENTER IF YOU DARE.

This one is said to be pretty terrifying….according to one of the staff members…

The massive cryo-freezer inside the Kevil Hill Cryonic Corporation at Kevil Hill has exploded and there are just so many ‘frozen ones’ brought to chilling ‘half-life’ ….

Wander around the famous Horrorwood Studios but be careful as you will be watched by some of the movie world’s greatest and scariest horror icons….and check out the spookiest adventure ever in New York at the Ghostbusters Adventure Live!

Ghostbusters is not too scary so it is great for those who does not want to be over spooked….

If you love fashion, check out the weird and spooky fashion show at the Angoscia Theatre where fear is the main theme… and well… The walking dead are among us, so watch it…. your heart will be beating fast at every twist and turn at the Zombie Apocalypse…

Ah Wing’s Butcher Shop is a pretty gruesome place…Ah Wing used to be a good man. He was hardworking, honest and kind, but his small meat business thrived and created enemies with other butcher shops. He was then harassed, bullied & tormented, and he spiraled into a descent of madness where his only intent is revenge…

When the theme park was being constructed, contractors found buried human bones from a long forgotten Malay grave yard, said to be the Tanah Perkuburan Bukit Lang…. and since the souls of the dead were disturbed, there were many records of paranormal activities along with screams of tortured souls….

Step back in time in London Fog, to the year of 1888, where a series of gruesome murders conducted by a sinister character lurking in the foggy street alleys befelled London. Many mutilated women’s bodies were reported and the perpetrator is still at large…….

Check out Kevil Hill Township and also the Zombie Walk  where half frozen/half burnt  cryo-humans wandering lost in the streets of Kevil Hill and where lost inhabitants wander along the boulevard of broken dreams in search for flesh to devour…..

The Clown Collective make people face their fear with some of the creepiest and scariest clowns ever haunting around the carousel of chaos…

Between all the scares, screaming and laughter, be sure to slot in some fun rides such as the Carousel, Apache Pots, Pirates Revenge, Colorado Splash, Tomahawk, Wagon Wheel, Lost City of Gold Scream Coaster, Fun Fair, Grand Canyon River Rapids, Vultures and the Butch Cassidy Trail…..

Nights of Fright 4 comes to life from 7.30 pm to 11.30pm every Friday to Sunday from 7th to 30th October including the witching moment… 31st October 2016….

Tickets are priced at RM58 (normal price), RM50 (student price) with exclusive promotions such as RM120 (one admission to Sunway Lagoon and one NOF4 ticket) and Buy 2 for RM80 (Sunday entries…..)

This event is only meant and recommended for guests above 12 years of age… Visitors are encouraged to wear their spookiest costumes but no face masks are allowed during event nights….

I was here on the media preview night with my girls.. and as I mentioned above, my younger daughter was terrified when she first entered the park… and after half an hour, she was having the time of her life and swears that she has to come back again !!!

  1. Oh wow this looks amazing! I love things like this!

And if you don’t mind me saying, it’s interesting what you said about your daughter seeing spirits. Does that ever frighten her?

  2. This is amazing. I love Halloween themes. I have been to Malaysia but not during this time of year. Now I will have to schedule a visit around October/November. This will be a definite go to site.

so I just mention the 7 things about me here:
      1) I love traveling and photography… wish I can travel more and wish I can get a good camera… huhuhu
      2) I am a kid at heart.. I may be 40 but I think I like to see things the way an 18 or 20 year old sees things… however with age, maybe I tend to be slightly jaded… but I am more childish then my eldest daughter… hahahah
      3) I have travelled quite a bit… 5 of my favorite countries would be Korea, Japan, Netherlands, Ireland and Indonesia
      4) If I had a lot of money I would love to visit South America, Eastern Europe and also New Zealand
      5) I love Korean and Chinese costume dramas on TV… they fascinate me no end…
      6) I am a history buff, so expect to see me in a country with a lot of old buildings..palaces… and so on….
      7) My favorite animals are the BIG cats and BIG dogs…meaning… tigers, pumas, leopard, wolves… heheheh
