The importance of Comfortable shoes when traveling

When you are traveling, you will definitely be doing plenty of walking. Walking is, undeniably, one of the best ways to spot the details that bring a destination to life whether you are shopping in the streets of Taiwan, or navigating your way through the medieval temples of Angkor, or visiting Palaces in Seoul. And every traveller will know that an uncomfortable pair of shoes can just spoil your day and your mood.

It is when I am traveling I walk the most.. up to even 10km per day…or more (as noted on my MiBand when I was in Korea)

A good pair of travel shoes need to be versatile. After all we do not want to be packing half a dozen pair of shoes into our luggage right… We would preferably pack just two pairs of footwear (I always pack 2.. one pair of covered shoes and one pair of slip on sandals)… something that can take you effortlessly from shopping to a 6-hour walking tour to dinner, in comfort…

Wearing uncomfortable shoes can have a negative effect on our personal well-being, body and health. When you wear uncomfortable shoes for a long period of time, it is as if your feet are under attack. As a result, your feet will fight back with the formation of calluses and bunions which can be very painful and unattractive and do not go away on their own….

Thus if possible, I would highly recommend health care shoes, especially since we will be wearing shoes throughout the day when you are traveling (also applies to working etc).

Admittedly, paying for the proper shoes can be a little pricier then those fashionable heels you can find… but you are paying for a shoe that is suited for your specific foot type. Paying a slightly higher price for shoes is a great investment in the overall health and performance of your body.

And for this, I would recommend MediFeet shoes as I have used MediFeet before, I got my first pair of MediFeet Comfeet (RM209) sometime last year and up til this very day it is one of my top 5 most favourite shoes……, recently, I got myself a pair of MediFeet SaraMax wrapped platform sandal wedges (RM249) with a cushioned insole and it was just like walking on my mattress as well…

MediFeet specializes in Health and Wellness footwear, especially for feet that require special care, including diabetic, arthritic and other types of medical conditions.

MediFeet shoes are my choice of shoes as well as they have maximum shock absorbing material to help protect our joints and muscles. MediFeet shoes are build with firmness which gives our feet high-energy return to fight fatigue, and created with an ideal material for demanding work / outdoor, athletic and casual wear. You can be assured of consistent, long lasting comfort with use after use… The shoe is also breathable with anti-fungal material help keep our tootsies less humid , comfort and dry.

Medifeet shoes are truly comfortable , and you do not have to break in your shoes and yet durable thanks to the use of the highest quality material and uncompromisingly quality control. The concept of the shoes are functional-designed for people who demand style and beautiful craftsmanship but still want the Health and Wellness benefit.

Talking about breaking in shoes…, I have bought expensive branded comfort shoes before only NOT to wear them, as the time needed to break them in is quite a pain and I still have to undergo and suffer a lot of pain(chaffing, blisters etc) trying to break them in….

Medifeet shoes is APMA APPROVED with  PORON being awarded the seal of acceptance by the American Podiatic Medical Association. In case you are wondering, PORON is a kind of cushioning sole which is breathable to help you stay cool and dry. It consists of air permeable open-cells that resist collecting moisture and perspiration on the surface skin. Each move, the material compresses and flexes , allowing air and moisture to move freely. It is also WATER RESISTANT, as it has been made with a high grade microfiber lining material with amazing properties of durability , water resistant and resilient cushioning for comfort.

I love that it is ANTI SHOCK with PORON that provides my feet maximum anti shock  with resilient cushioning and protects from extreme impact, and comes with a WIDE TOE BOX using Wide-fit to provides absolute comfort preventing pain and discomfort in the forefoot especially since I do have somewhat a wide and unladylike foot, resulting in my feet getting lots of pain and pressure when wearing those pretty high heels in regular shoe shops…

Medifeet shoes feature low-profile outsoles with extra FLEXIBILITY to allow your feet to move more naturally and has a POWER ARCH SUPPORT made of specially formulated latex which will relief arch pain caused by flat, weak , fallen or high arches where you need it most.

The natural rubber with DIRECTIONAL GROOVES for optimum grip prevent slipping and also provides excellent foothold and durable essential to pleasant walking experience.

And that is only just a little about the shoes, there are just so many other benefits to be derived wearing Medifeet shoes…

My feet never hurts after wearing MediFeet even when I am out walking the whole day.. and I am so looking forward wearing my MediFeet shoes to Singapore this coming Sunday…(23rd to 26th October).. Check out my for pictures of my trip

  1. Couldn’t agree more with you about the importance of proper footwear. The problem with me is that I am 6.5 size and it is never easy to buy any shoes. Well, better to have odd-sized feet than no feet. LOL

  2. This is such a beneficial idea, yeah, it is very important to were shoes that you’re being comfortable with. Just like me when I visit to a place I always take in something that makes me comfortable either for a city tour or something good for mountain climbing so I won’t be bringing two shoes, especially if I have a city tour side trip after mountain climbing.
