Every time I travel to Singapore, I will make it a point to buy the Singapore Tourist Pass… this is because it saves me a lot of time, hassle and money and I strongly recommend it to all of you who are planning to visit Singapore.
The Singapore Tourist Pass is an all-day pass that offers tourists unlimited travel on Singapore’s public transport system which includes the MRT, LRT and basic bus services. This excludes Express Services, Fast Forward, Night Owl, NightRider, Chinatown Direct and other premium and niche bus services.
Choose from a 1, 2 or 3-day pass and take as many rides as you want within your desired travel duration on Singapore’s public transport network. This wallet-friendly electronic smart card enables you to travel in comfort and peace of mind on the island’s extensive train system and public bus network to enjoyment all the attractions Singapore has to offer.
And it breaks down to as little as $6.70** per day! ( The average daily cost if a 3-Day Pass was purchased)
However plan wisely as the 1-day coverage of the day pass begins from your 1st usage of the pass to the end of public transport service for that day!!! So this means you lose out if you are starting to use this pass at maybe 7pm or 8pm… but if you start using it at 7am or 8am then you are making good progress…as the card usage for the day ends at 11.59pm….
I loved the card, and it is one of my must haves when I am in Singapore.. as it enables me to jump on any bus or train and no worry about if I had sufficient small change or how much the trip might cost me.. and I did a lot of hopping on to the trains and buses when I was in Singapore…
The Singapore Tourist Pass comes in 3 options; 1-day, 2-day or 3-day passes.
Types of pass | Pricing of Pass * | Refundable Rental Deposit * |
1 Day Pass | $10 | $10 * |
2 Day Pass | $16 | $10 * |
3 Day Pass | $20 | $10 * |
*Each pass is subjected to a $10 rental deposit which will be refunded when/if you return the card within 5 days after the day of purchase.
