When I read in my itinerary as an AboutKL blogger that Dinner In The Sky was on, I seriously had mixed feelings… I was thrilled about it, but at the same time, I was also nervous and scared… after all, there were going to be about 27 people suspended in the sky on a wire and a crane right….
And it is no joke considering that this year, Malaysia have had a couple of accidents due to negligence of the construction companies involving cranes… so…GULP!!!
But then again, I always believed that when it is time to go, even if you are in the comfort of your own bed at home, something might happen…. But well, touch wood lah yaaa…… and you will never live if you do not choose to take risks… so yes, I was all for it..
After all, as Helen Keller quoted: “life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all…”
Dinner in the Sky Malaysia or DITS Malaysia is a thrilling one-of-a-kind experience where diners have will have amazing view of Kuala Lumpur city while being elevated anywhere up to 50 metres into the sky before being served dinner up there. This will of course be at the discretion of the organizer or safety officer’s discretion, based on weather conditions….
You will definitely get to see an amazing view of the iconic KL Tower and Petronas Twin Towers either during sunset at 6.30pm or watch the sparkling night city lights at about 8pm…
At an affordable RM229.00, your experience will include – Admission to Dinner In The Sky Malaysia lounge, a seat on the Dinner In The Sky Malaysia table, a three course meal and free flow of water on the table.
Guests however have to be above 13 years old with a minimum height of 145cm and a maximum weight of 150kg. If the guest is under the age of 18, the presence and signature of a parent/guardian that is at least 18 years old and above will be required for the indemnity form. Guests have to be in good health and free form, but not limited to heart conditions, back problems, neck problems, broken bones, recent surgery and high blood pressure. Pregnant women are also not allowed to experience Dinner in the Sky…
Just before being admitted to the lounge, you will be asked to sign an indemnity and waiver form, and then you can keep your bags and loose items in the locker provided, after all you do not want dropping your things from up above right….
Just before we are called to our seats, we were advised to go to the toilet first so we can enjoy the 1 hour long dinner in the sky without needing to inconvenient anyone else….
Me with some #aboutkl fellow blogger Sara Athira and the petite social media influencer Jamie Lee….
Me with #aboutkl blogger Abang Fadli and also this Mat Salleh blogger Rhys who speaks absolutely fluent Bahasa Malaysia…….
We were seated 2 people at a time and the security/safety guy will tie the safety harness for you and double check it again once everyone has been seated before the table is elevated…there will be I think one chef, two waiters and two safety officers who does other jobs too such as monitors the guests, comforts and distract those who are nervous, and also help the guests with photographs.. heheh..
Dinner is a standard 3-course menu from Teaffani with different options for the main course which you can select when booking your ticket…and yes, halal
The full menu would be..
Starter: Smoked Salmon Salad & Glass Noodles with Oriental Sesame Dressing
Main Course (4 options):
Chicken : Roasted Chicken Cutlets with Tennessee Glaze on a bed of Chicken Ham, Mashed Potatoes & Grilled Asparagus.
Beef : Ultimate Beef Stew with Sour Cream, served with Garlic Rosemary infused Rice & Roasted Cherry Tomatoes.
Seafood : Baked Seafood Lasagne topped with Garlic Roasted Prawns on a bed of Wilted Spinach.
Lamb :Twice Cooked Lamb Leg Slices with Ginger Soya Glaze served with Pickled Cabbage & Cold Spaghetti.
Dessert: Strawberry & Kiwi Shortcake with Tangerine Glaze
There is also a vegetarian menu for those of you who are vegetarians….
We were there just for dessert which was a pretty yummy Strawberry & Kiwi Shortcake with Tangerine Glaze…
…however with butterflies in my stomach not settling down and also since we were busy taking photos, I only manage to finish my dessert like 15 minutes later just before our little sojourn in the sky came to an end…much to our regret and relief… hahaha
The table is built in Belgium and all drawings, calculations and simulations are tested by TÜV Rhineland, a global provider of technical, safety, and certification services and well, Dinner In The Sky Malaysia is operating under the guidelines of the Department of Occupational Safety & Health Malaysia, so you are actually pretty safe there….
FEAR is after all False Evidence Appearing Real and just mostly tricks of the mind…. hahaha…
Do grab the opportunity while Dinner in the Sky is still happening and I think it’s gonna be on until end May or early June 2017….it will definitely be a moment you will remember !!! So, live life lah!!!
Dinner in the Sky is operating at MATIC, No. 109, Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur
note – first pic has been taken from google and do not belong to me….

I have not tried DITS before although I would love to. I’d probably have butterflies in my stomach as well. Rhys looked like he was meditating. LOL.

Skype for Internet also now can handle Linux and Chromebook for

The expansion from the beta adds assistance for a
