The story of Kuala Lumpur began back in the 1850s when tin ore was found at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak Rivers, the place where the Masjid Jamek (Jamek Mosque) is located currently in KL. Kuala Lumpur was practically built on blood, sweat, tears, and hopes of the immigrants and those living there….

The Kafe old Market Square is located right next to the river. It is right at the front of the Avenue J Hotel and Malaysian Bar Council, where the buses which passes by Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman will stop.. It used to be named Sin Seng Nam , founded in 1928 by a Hainanese immigrant Choong Yoo Ting and his two brothers and was where civil servants, judges, lawyers and people from all walks of life, and if you look further back in history, miners and gamblers came to have their meal….

  2. This looks very Chinese + Colonial but surprisingly owned by Malay. This is what I love about Malaysia. Haven’t been there yet, and I should. Loving the Malaysian dishes served, based on your photos.
