Yours truly was over at the Subang Skypark Airport where guests and members of the media got to witness the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Firefly and Tourism Selangor, in conjunction with the collaboration of the brand new campaign to further boost tourist arrivals to the state, both domestic and international, especially from ASEAN countries in 2017 and beyond.
The invited guests, comprising travel agents, members of the media and those from the aviation industry braved the drizzle and eventually rain with umbrellas as they waited for the new Firefly plane decked in the new livery featuring Tourism Selangor’s advertisement with some of the main tourist attractions..
The plane, which arrived from Singapore, brought with it a group of travel agents and members of the media led by General Manager of Tourism Selangor Sdn Bhd (TSSB), Puan Noorul Ashikin Bt. Mohd Din.
There are further information on the places of interest in Selangor that can also found in the interior of the airplane. And it sure was fascinating seeing all the places of interest on the cabin luggage storage area …
Face it or not, many of us are guilty of not appreciating the beauty and wonders of nature, and so on all around us… we really should take the time to see more of our own country and check out all the fascinating places there are here in our own state or neighbouring states… travel is not necessarily out of the country, but also within the country…
The beautifully liveried plane was met at the Subang SkyPark Airport by Firefly CEO Ignatius Ong and guest-of-honour YB Elizabeth Wong, Chairman Standing Committee of Tourism, Green Technology, Consumer Affairs & Environment Of Selangor and of course all the invited guests and a few Mah Meri natives.
The Singaporean guests then joined fellow industry colleagues from Malaysia to participate in a 4D/3N familiarisation trip, a consecutive initiative by the Selangor tourism body to promote the state through tourism segments such as homestay, MICE, sports, theme parks, education, medicine, heritage, nature, shopping and food
Tourism Selangor decided to launch this year’s campaign with the theme ‘Discover Selangor, Heart of Malaysia’ to capture the real essence of Selangor….
