The kids are off from school for two whole weeks so parents should take the opportunity to bring their kids up to Resorts World Genting to enjoy the crisp and cool fresh air and keep them entertained throughout the day…

Do not miss out on the Genting International Children’s Festival 2017, and the Soul of Shaolin, a critically acclaimed theatrical event that has toured the world in order to showcase the magnificence of Shaolin kung fu warriors.

The Genting International Children’s Festival 2017 will be held from 27 May to 11 June 2017 with the tagline, “art, dance and music,” and is set to be a visual feast where guests can enjoy soaking up the carnival atmosphere.

Resorts World Genting has planned three activities that will take place at SkyAvenue are namely “Cheers & Pom: Cheerleading,” to be held at Level 1 of the mall, “Storyland: Cosplay Meet & Greet” at Level 2, and “Street Beats: Brass Ensemble” at Level 3. Two other activities that will also be held during this period would be the “Paradise: Forest Fairies Ballet Dance,” to be held at First World Rainforest, and Boulevard’s Parade at Genting Grand Open Car Park.

The Genting International Children’s Festival promises something for everyone—from cheerleading to cosplaying to ballet.

Let the kids marvel the cheerleaders handsprings, tumbling and twisting skills at Level 1 of SkyAvenue during Cheers & Pom.

This is a must-see event for those who enjoy watching the superior dexterity of graceful cheerleaders.

Another breathtaking sight would be the “Paradise: Forest Fairies Ballet Dance” where pretty ballerinas will whirl and twirl away as they entertain visitors in this land of make-believe.

My daughter and I manage to watch the “Storyland: Cosplay Meet & Greet” where cosplayers entertained us with their lovely costumes and dance.. the kids definitely had a fun time getting to meet the Asian or Malaysian version of Belle, Beast, Snow White, Sailor Moon, Harley Quinn, Joker and so on… And posed with them…

The “Street Beats: Brass Ensemble” promises fun in music—street musicians playing drums, trombones, and trumpets, among others. Kind of reminded me of a certain band at the Universal Studios Osaka as well… But definitely not lacking..

Do take the opportunity to celebrate your holidays with your kids with pomp and gaiety at Boulevard’s Parade at the Open Car Park of Genting Grand.

Soul of Shaolin: Hui Guang’s Story is touching tale of the life of a Shaolin monk. The tale begins with a woman who is forced to abandon her son when she finds herself harassed and chased by some bandits. The woman hid her baby among tall grass before jumping off a cliff in her effort to evade capture.

The child is later found by Na Luo, a Shaolin kung fu monk, who also picks up a piece of broken jade he finds near the former.

  1. Don’t I wish I could watch Shaolin kung fu live! When I was in Beijing, I really wanted to go but didn’t have enough time suddenly!! Now that Shaolin is practically at my door step, must make greater effort to go.
