For the recent Kembara Kraf Selangor 2017 FAM trip, since it was the beginning of the SEA games period, most of the hotels around Klang Valley were full,  we were fortunate to find accommodation in the four-star Geno Hotel.

Hotel Geno is a business class hotel, and is ideal and comfortable enough if you are there for nothing more than meetings, meeting up with the people, or just a place to lay your head comfortably, get changed, etc… as it is located along Jalan Subang Mas, Taman Subang Mas, close to several industrial and residential areas in the Shah Alam and Subang Jaya and near the Batu Tiga industrial.

Geno Hotel offers 244 rooms, comprising 200 deluxe rooms and 44 suites, and boasts nine meeting and conference rooms that can cater to between 15 and 100 people, as well as a pillarless grand ballroom that can accommodate up to 800 persons with a signature 9,280m by 4,000m-sized LED panel.

The hotel is comfortable enough for relaxing with family members as it also has a swimming pool, gym and sauna.

And for those searching for something to eat, you can choose between dining at one of the four eateries there… Taste all-day dining cafe, Ajito Japanese restaurant, Geno Palace Chinese restaurant and Unwind bar, lounge and cigar divan.

Since my mini me followed me for this FAM trip, she was my roomie, and well, we personally found our room reasonably comfortable, and the shower pretty good. Our only complain in the room was that the water in the sink did take a little while to go down…

We did not have time to go for a swim, but we did check out the swimming pool which was pretty nice and so was the gym that looked out to the pool. It was quite reasonably well equipped with nice machines, not just the bare minimum type some hotels have.

As for the breakfast buffet, the offerings are not too bad, and I like the omelette, the curry noodles, the porridge. They serve some steamed pau, which is actually quite nice.. inside, but I find the exterior slightly hard..so perhaps, I think the hotel should really invest in a steamer.. to serve these..just a thought..

But overall, the hotel is nice, the rooms are clean and comfortable and my daughter and I had a couple of good night rests there for our trip…
