I remember going to the circus, sitting under the big top staring at the ringmaster and his shiny attractive clothes, then enjoying elephants performing, funny clowns antics, tight rope walkers and so on..

We use to have some circus in Penang back then and it was always so exciting… but well, we have a newer and modern version now… minus the animals and clowns of course…

Cre Arts Asia will be bringing “Cre”, a modern circus, to the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPac) at the end of this month… from Sept 29 to Oct 1, 2017

It will be an exciting three-day performance dubbed Cré or ‘earth’ in Old Irish, and it promises spectacular displays of gravity-defying performances and extraordinary feats of the human body, all set within stunningly beautiful backdrops that are a mainstay of contemporary performing arts.

Cré is naturally themed to showcase the beauty of Mother Earth, with all the natural elements of air, water, earth and fire through the use of the human body as a medium.

Cre Arts Asia in collaboration with Viva Circus, an award-winning physical arts theatre company and Psycusix will definitely be thrilling the audience with breathtaking aerial acrobatics, contortionists, mesmerizing dance performances and much more with world-class talents.

As a matter of fact, some of the performers featured have won several international accolades and have performed at renowned venues across the world. Be prepared to be stunned at how these performers can even distort bubbles into crazy shapes when spinning fire or lights.

Cre was partly created to also promote hidden local talents and to give them a platform to grow, since there are so many talented street performers in Malaysia. Almost all performers in Cre were self-taught and started training in their 20s and 30s.

Look forward to be amazed at how some of our local talents can shine and how a human body can be trained to do things..

Cre Arts Asia will be donating part of the ticket sales to International Medical University Malaysia’s (IMU) Chariofare, the university’s largest fundraising event, so you can enjoy yourself knowing you have also done your part for charity…

Tickets for Cré are priced at RM98 (Fire), RM128 (Water) and RM168 (Earth) respectively. Tickets for kids below 12 years of age are available at RM68 (Water & Earth Only). Fire seats are free-seating while Water & Earth seats are numbered.
