Primula Beach Hotel was the hotel in Kuala Terengganu where I got to stay at the recent TerengganuMolekDoh trip with Gaya Travel.. it is located close to Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium and Istana Maziah…
Just as we got to the hotel I was already kinda wowed over with the picturesque little garden leading to the entrance and lobby…
…and well, who can resist the scenic view of the azure blue sea and gorgeous sandy Pantai Batu Burok beach and those coconut trees that is the ‘backdrop’ of Primula Beach Hotel…
Given that it is a little old fashion hotel considering it is/was an international class business resort established back in 1984, this hotel is actually one of the famous landmarks in Kuala Terengganu all by itself because of the uniqueness of it’s beach front location that is just a stone’s throw away from the business hub and other places of attractions in Kuala Terengganu…
We got to check out the Executive, Queen and Primula suites there which were pretty luxurious…
My room for the duration of two nights was a deluxe twin bed room which half faced the city but also half faced the sea…
The room was simple and contemporarily designed and came with it’s own private balcony..
There is an intelligent panel in the centre of our two beds… that controls the air-conditioning system, lights, radio, coloured TV with cable channel…
The room is also thoughtfully furnished with it’s own safety box, tea/coffee making facilities, mini-bar, iron & ironing board..
Bathrooms have complimentary basic toiletries and hair dryers…
We had an amazing stay where I got to enjoy sunrise at the beach… and during the evening/ night, a few of us took a stroll along the Batu Burok Beach all the the way to where there were so many food stalls, night market and treated ourselves to a nice cold refreshing A&W root beer float…
The pool was also very pretty though we barely had time to soak or swim in it because of our hectic day…
Our stay came with free buffet breakfast.. which was quite yummy.. and they even had a special store which served up some pretty good Nasi Dagang.. and oh.. err… pink nasi lemak.. which actually was pretty yummy.. hahaha
They have a special Steamboat that comes with a free cold glass of fruit punch /mocktail for about RM39nett per person… and seriously.. it is delicious.. I just loved both soups cannot decide if the Tom Yam was better or the Chicken Soup was better.. lol
Overall, while the Primula Beach Hotel probably cannot compare to the industrial chic or classy modern boutique hotels in big cities, it definitely has its own old world charms you will admire.. and I enjoyed my stay there perfectly well… so be sure to check it out if you are in Kuala Terengganu and looking for a place to spend a night or two…
