Resorts World Langkawi

Resorts World Langkawi idylically faces the beautiful Andaman Sea, and yours truly was blessed to have been given the opportunity to stay there for a couple of days, thanks to Resorts World Genting…

With picturesque surroundings and world-class facilities including newly renovated rooms- and yes, the rooms are just gorgeous and so comfy…. the resort is truly a gem to discover especially with super breathtaking views of the Andaman sea…

Being city slickers and dwellers (if you are like me and from the city), we do need to get away from the hustle and bustle of hectic urban life, every bow and then before we get overly stressed or burnt out and well, you really ought to give the Resorts World Langkawi some serious consideration… the resort is truly a tranquil paradise that offers modern amenities while at the same time allowing guests to commune with nature and enjoy its beauty…

Take a evening or early morning stroll along the waterfront boardwalk,… it can make you pause and imagine you were strolling down a beachfront avenue in the Mediterranean…

The resort, located at the southwestern tip of Langkawi island, is just a convenient 25 minutes’ drive from the airport that is located some 15km away and it is just a bare 5 to 10 mins drive from Cenang town as well as close to various other attractions in Langkawi…

There are 211 rooms in total. You can opt for a panoramic view of lush greenery or a magnificent view of the cerulean sea -which I highly recommend as the view is second to none…, the newly renovated Standard room, Standard Seaview, Premier and Premier Seaview Rooms are all private spaces that promise a memorable stay.

If you have money to splurge, I truly recommend going for the finest level of service and comfort which you can get from the Premier Suite, Signature Suite or Presidential Suite.

Food is a plenty here as I think, there are three eateries here, which guests can get to enjoy a view of the sea while dining.

There’s Seagull Coffeehouse that offers an excellent variety of Asian and international dishes for all day dining and serves mainly buffet which opens from 7am to 10.30pm.

Zest at the boardwalk is where al fresco dining can be enjoyed—imagine doing this while watching the sunset! This fine eatery’s sizzling specialties are popular among guests who obviously also enjoy the fact that they have a glorious view of the legendary Pregnant Maiden Island or Pulau Dayang Bunting. Zest opens from 12pm to 1am.

And after dinner—or before—guests can head over to the Lobby Lounge for some drinks and live entertainment. The lounge opens from 12pm to 1am.

At any resort, the swimming pool is always a magnet for the young and old alike. There are two pools for kids here and one for adults.

You really ought to check out the magnificent new infinity pool which has recently been added to the Resorts World Langkawi…

…nothing can be more idyllic then soaking your stresses away and admiring the magnificent Andaman sea…..

Those not into swimming can enjoy some hours in the gym using a treadmill or doing weights…

For the guest who is here for both work and pleasure, there are six meeting rooms to cater to their needs. There is also a grand ballroom that can be divided into two meeting rooms.

The resort’s five-star Taman Sari Royal Heritage Spa is for those seeking holistic treatments to pamper their bodies. Traditional Royal Javanese massages and treatments are available to soothe one’s body and mind, including hand and foot therapy, and aromatherapy massage… – sorry I did not go for a massage so I have only got a picture of me posing in the spa to share… hehehe

For the sport enthusiast, recreational water sports available within the vicinity of the resort include jet-skiing, scuba-diving and snorkeling. Guests can also opt for island hopping and fishing, or go on a mangrove-and-cave geopark tour.

The resort also offers trips to some places of interest, namely Pantai Cenang, Langkawi Underwater World, Cable Car at Gunung Mat Cincang, Mahsuri’s Masoleum (Makam Mahsuri), Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls, Buffalo Park and Field of Burnt Rice (Beras Terbakar) or try out the Sunset Cruise….
