If you are curious about scuba diving and haven’t actually tried diving before, you really should try Scuba Diving in the City…
Operated by Titan Scuba Asia, in Sunway Lagoon’s Surf Beach, the selected pool area is a shallow section where you will learn new skills such as breathing underwater for the first time in a safe and relaxed environment before committing yourself to join an actual dive course or well just giving it a shot for experience….
The diving session will take approximately 30 minutes to complete with ONE (1) instructor attending to 3 to 4 guests.
Stretching over 13,000 square meters, the Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach is the World’s Largest Man-Made Surf Beach and well, yours truly and her influencer friends including the lovely Neeta from IamNeeta were there to give it a shot…
Some of my friends were already licensed divers but still, they were there for the experience and a little refresher..
After getting briefed about what to expect and getting suited up with the Bouyancy Compensators /BC, the thing that look like a life jacket… , a tank of oxygen, fins, masks and regulators and etc, we were good to go..
We were divided into two groups of 4 and we followed Eric, our trainer out to just about 3 feet of water.. where Eric taught us, especially the newbies to learn to trust our equipment, and how to breath using the regulator, how to clear our masks and how to let go of the regulator and put it back in our mouth underwater, how to stay below and swim near the floor and how to swim using our fins….
Once you have mastered breathing with your regulator through your mouth you will be taken for a mini tour or rather made to swim with your fins on and near the floor to the deepest end of the Surf Pool where few have ventured before…before turning back…
It is challenging for newbies and of course a piece of cake for the experienced ones but it was a great experience nevertheless… and I look forward repeating it again so I can master breathing underwater before going for my license…
Oh.. did I mention… Scuba Diving can be pretty addictive… hahaha….
