Hotel Review 2018 – Sands & Sandals Desaru Beach Resort & Spa

So yours truly had the opportunity to stay over at the Sands & Sandals Desaru Beach Resort & Spa (formerly known as Pulai Desaru Resort) which is located on the southern east coast of Peninsular Malaysia.

The Sands & Sandals Desaru Beach Resort & Spa is about 45-minutes drive away from Senai International Airport but believe me the trip is well worth it…

The 208-room Sands & Sandals Desaru Beach Resort & Spa is arranged in a U-shape cluster around the resort’s outdoor pool and comes equipped with all the requisite modern-day luxuries such as private balconies, double vanities, dual showerheads in the bathrooms, seven F&B concepts, a luxury Balinese spa and a fitness centre.

The resort’s rooms and suites are beautifully furnished contemporarily and guests can find ample amenities to ensure the comfort of their stay here…

There are about 65 units of Superior Rooms, 41 units of Deluxe Garden View Rooms, 34 units of Deluxe Pool View Rooms and 28 units of Platinum Deluxe Rooms that comes with a Private Garden, 12 units of Sunny Deluxe Sea View Rooms, 6 units of Romantic Deluxe Rooms with Private Pool, 8 units of Couple Suites/Honeymoon Suites (Duplex), 12 units of Family Suites (Duplex) and 2 units of Executive Suites….

Depending on which room you choose or get, some of the selected room categories comes with garden-shaded patios, private balconies with outdoor bathtub, and straight-to-pool access…

The couple and family suites are duplexes and has a balcony that oversees the tropical outdoor pool….

I was fortunate to get one of the Deluxe Pool View Rooms during my stay there and my room was clean, comfortable and peaceful..

It came with a balcony that overlooked the pool area which was equally pretty during the night as well as the day…

They had a beautiful pool area too and a Kids Play Room… which however I did not get the chance to indulge in or find out more since we were on a tight schedule during my stay there.. they do however serve a pretty reasonably good breakfast buffet at their coffee house…
