The award-winning Langkawi Yacht Club marina and Fisherman’s Wharf Langkawi is located in the town of Kuah, mere walking distance from where the Jetty Point Langkawi is…
And it was here at the 3 star Langkawi Yacht Club Hotel, that we spent one of our nights during the Travelogue Malaysia -Langkawi…
Our rooms were located on the upper floors of the Fisherman’s Wharf where you can find a lot of upper-end fine dining to casual dining places that provide a unique dining experience…
We had to take a lift to our rooms after checking in at the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club lobby and a reception area….
The Royal Langkawi Yacht Club has about 44 boutique rooms in about 9 different room categories here from the Standard Room, Courtyard Room, Skylight Room, Seaview Room, Seaview Room with Balcony , Hillview, Hillview Family Room, Executive Deluxe Room and Executive Suite Room…
I was blessed to be able to get a Sea View Room with Balcony, which afford me one of the best and most mesmerizing views of the marina…
My room came with pretty maritime theme interiors that matched the harbor view and a comfortable king sized bed with navy and white striped comforter….
There were photographs of yachts with sails proudly glistening against the eternal blue of the sea nicely placed on the walls… And my room came with both a fan and air-conditioner…. and equipped with cable TV, and tea/coffee making facilities… The WiFi here was however not working and we had to used it in the lobby area or at the Royal Yacht Club area…
The bathroom was also clean and reasonably comfortable sized…
There is a lovely pool there for both adults and kids overlooking the marina
…and the hotel serves a simple breakfast buffet served consisting of egg, toast, sausage/bacon, baked beans, hash brown, cereal, yogurt (I love it that they actually serve some pretty nice imported yogurt though), nasi lemak, juice, milk and coffee.
Best part about staying here would be that it is close to all those food outlets at the Fisherman’s Wharf, the atmosphere is truly relaxed and serene and you can close your eyes and pretend you are one of those gorgeous super yacht’s owner (hahaha, me and my imaginative mind) and well if you can’t sleep or too bored you can try counting yachts or just watch the ferries arrive and depart from the Jetty Point…
You will also definitely be trigger happy with your camera or phone camera as the scenery is simply breathtaking be it during the day or during the sunset or even the night….
