Han Rainforest Resort in Taman Negara is situated in Kuala Tahan, part of the Taman Negara National Park… and it is one of the biggest resort there… and I was lucky to get an opportunity to stay there for a night and 2 days…

Taman Negara, which is situated in the heart of Pahang, Malaysia, happens to be one of the oldest rainforest in the world at 130 million years old…

Having noting Taman Negara has the potential to be a global platform for the both Eco & Adventure education tourism centre, Mr Kenny Ng, the owner of Han Rainforest Resort built the place with the biggest room capacity at Kuala Tahan… averaging about 30,000 tourists a year with 90% of them being from Europe…

The resort is also a centre to educate the younger generation and anyone from all walks of life about the conservation of the ecology and its surroundings via an experiential process where participants and guests get to touch, feel, smell, see and hear the importance of the ecology around them and understand the threats to it and our own existence….

Getting to the resort is via road or boat… The resort is located about 70 kilometres north of Jerantut, said to be the gateway to Taman Negara…

The Han Rainforest Resort provide return shuttles to/from Kuala Tahan Jetty as well as from Kuala Lumpur for an additional fee…

Guests can choose from a variety of tours and activities, including a night jungle safari and cave exploration trips.

If you were to go for a full board package.. you would definitely get to enjoy a night jungle walk…

This would be followed by a trip along the Sungai Tembeling to the Canopy Walkway, which is a series of hanging bridges… the trek up the hill can be tiring though, but well worth the energy used…

…and then before we know it… we were back on the boat getting super drenched at the river rapids when our tour guides and boatmen played games on us as well as the other boats… No one was spared and everyone came off the experience spluttering, looking like half drowned rats but there is no denying it was super fun though… lol…

In our wet clothing, we arrived at the Bateq Orang Asli village… where our guides told us stories about these people.. as well as gave us a demo in starting a fire with wood and how to play with darts … It sure was plenty of fun…
