If you are wondering about it… well…, the VOID in Resorts World Genting is Asia’s first full sensory, virtual reality experience that combines interactive sets, real-time effects and amazing technology.

You will be given a chance to step into a brand new hyper-reality experience with Star Wars™: Secrets of The Empire..

ILMxLAB and The VOID have created a whole-body, fully immersive adventure, where you and your troops (another 3 people) can get physically inside the action.

Pushing the boundaries of location-based virtual reality, The VOID and ILMxLAB bring the Star Wars universe to life through a multi-sensory, untethered story.

I was there with one of my best friends and we entered the Star Wars dimension together with another couple… It was pretty exhilarating and amazing how reality and imagination mix to deliver fully immersive experiences that evoke all the senses…

Our mission began at our appointed time.. and we were told to sign the liability form before we got suited up.. Once suited up, we had to keep our smartphones and other valuables in a locker before taken to our briefing room..

In the briefing room, Captain Cassian Andor, from the rebellion, gave the orders that our team had to ‘travel’ to the molten planet of Mustafar, where we were given the mission is to recover Imperial intelligence vital to the rebellion’s survival…

Alongside the pragmatic droid K-2S0, our team had to navigate through the enemy facility disguised as stormtroopers…

You actually see each other as undercover stormtroopers and you feel it when you get shot by the enemies’ blaster bolts, feel the heat as you walk through lava, smell the smoke from the surrounding environment, get trapped in places, push buttons to solve an interactive puzzle to escape enemies, all while coordinating directly with in real time through the blended virtual and physical world…

The VOID is set inside Skytropolis Funland, the upcoming revamped indoor theme park in Resorts World Genting… the VOID company’s very first venture in Asia and we are all the very first to experience it and it was simply one of the best 15 to 20 minutes spent ever… so what about you…
