For my Chinese New Year break, I was over at the swanky Sunway Velocity Hotel…

This 351-room mid-market hotel is a new addition to the Sunway Hotels & Resorts and was opened on 20 September 2017 at Sunway Velocity, the only transit-oriented development (TOD) in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.

The 16th storey hotel is the largest and the only integrated hotel within the vicinity, and it is bold and beautiful with its futuristic façade and bold colour….

Strategically located at the crossroads of Jalan Cheras and Jalan Peel, the Sunway Velocity Hotel is just about 3.8km away from the Kuala Lumpur city centre and 45 minutes from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

The hotel has three (3) room categories – which is the Superior, Superior Plus and Superior Premier Rooms….

My friends and I checked into the Superior Room… The Superior Room is about 25 square metres in size, and well it was definitely refreshing since it was decorated with bold geometric leafy patterns and accented by hues of green, yellow and a dash of gold…

My room had a king sized bed which 4 people could actually sleep on… (since it was AJL night and my other friends from the other room came to our room too to watched AJL together and we were all on the bed)

The bed is pretty comfy and luxurious.. totally no complaints and my room was equipped with the essential conveniences and comfortable features and amenities for an effortless stay such as complimentary Wi-Fi and wired broadband internet access, LED Smart TV, electronic safe, mini fridge and coffee and tea making facilities…

The bathroom was also clean and came with bright lightings for comfort…

There are 2 other room categories which is the Superior Plus Room that is about 27 square metres and the 38 square metres Superior Premier Room is a spacious corner room that features a loft-like arrangement, said to offer guests an additional settee that pulls-out to a queen-sized sofa bed, accommodating up to two (2) adults and two (2) children or three (3) adults in the room…

Sunway Velocity Hotel offers a boardroom that can accommodates up to 16 persons in a boardroom style set-up…

I got to catch up with my exercise at their simple but nicely equipped 24-hour fitness centre….

And the infinity swimming pool is something to truly look forward to with amazing views of the Cheras neighbourhood and KL city skyline anytime of the day or night… I love the view so much, as you can see with the extra photos posted above…

If you are peckish, head over to Kaffeinate, the hotel’s all-day express café on level 5, that serves daily breakfast buffet, light snacks for dine-in and take-away for between meals…I really recommend the Raspberry Chocolate Cake…

The Buffet Breakfast here is pretty good too..

I find it ultra convenient when your hotel is connected to a mall… and in this case, the Sunway Velocity Hotel is connected to Sunway Velocity Mall via the hotel’s main lobby into the Parkson Departmental Store, and at Level 5 into the Sunway Velocity Mall’s Commune Floor….

The hotel is also easily connected to public transportation, linked directly to the Light Rapid Transit (LRT) and two (2) underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) stations, Maluri and Cochrane. Through the MRT, guests will have easy access to the Bukit Bintang shopping district, KL Sentral, as well as other attractions nearby….

Sunway Velocity Hotel is offering special room rates starting from RM230.00 per room per night (room only). Room rates are quoted in Ringgit Malaysia (RM) and inclusive prevailing taxes..

In addition, the hotel is offering Sunway PALS points (membership sign-up required; terms and conditions apply) and complimentary scheduled city-wide shuttle service, with stops at the Bukit Bintang shopping district and Sunway Putra Mall.
