With Discover Kuala Lumpur package, more tourists will be able to explore the beautiful city of Kuala Lumpur even within a short window….

The Discover Kuala Lumpur initiative is also supported by Malaysia Airports in their effort to promote inbound tourism and easy connection into the city. By offering this package, their transiting passengers have an added option of making a quick visit to the city, with the hope of enticing them to make Malaysia their next holiday destination…

Depending on the time available before their next flight, Discover Kuala Lumpur’s flexibility allows visitors to disembark from the bus to savour local delicacies that Malaysia is famous for, visit historical and popular landmarks in the city or even buy souvenirs.

The tour, conducted in English, will ply two routes – the Garden Route and the City Route which will take about two hours each depending on the traffic conditions. It operates on the “hop on, hop off” approach allowing participants of the tour to get off and on the bus at any stop they choose within 24 hours of their voucher redemption….

The Garden Route – Upon arrival from the airport on KLIA Ekspres, tourists can hop on the KL Hop-On Hop-Off bus at stop number 16 outside the main entrance of KL Sentral Station. The Garden Route takes tourists to 15 locations starting from the National Museum, and the route covers Perdana Botanical Garden and KL Bird Park as well as historical sites such as the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, Jamek Mosque and Kampung Baru, the oldest Malay settlement in Kuala Lumpur before returning to KL Sentral.

If the tourists decide to extend their trip to see the other side of Kuala Lumpur, they can hop on the City Route at the Bukit Bintang Interchange Station (stop number 01). However, the City Route is recommended for tourists with more than 10-hour transit.

The City Route – Besides Bukit Bintang, the City Route will take tourists to 11 other major urban attractions including the world’s tallest twin towers, the Petronas Twin Towers and the Kuala Lumpur Tower, where one of the biggest and oldest man-made forest park is located. If their time permits, tourists will also be able to do some shopping at the famous Chinatown known as Petaling Street among the locals and Bukit Bintang, which is a known shopping haven for tourists from all walks of life, ranging from the high-end brands to local-made souvenirs.

Discover Kuala Lumpur packages can be purchased online via the KLIA Ekspres website and app, as well as the self-service kiosks at KLIA, KLIA2 and KL Sentral.

Typically the KL Hop-On Hop-Off bus runs between 9am and 6pm daily, with its last tour departing from its pick-up point at 5pm.
