It is one of the world’s top 10 best tropical gardens and can easily make a whole day or two days or even three days trip… In our case it was almost 4 days and 3 nights… But OK.. We did some external activities on the last day… But we did not even actually finish exploring the entire garden..

Nong Nooch Tropical Garden consists of immaculately sculpted shrubs and bushes, countless assortments of technicolor flowers, animal statues from around the world, dinosaurs statues and even a collector car showroom on the site, because like why not?

According to the down to earth owner of Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, Khun Kampol Tansacha, who took some time off working in his new and upcoming project to mast us, the floating garden/gardens in the sky (he could almost be mistaken for one of the gardeners, dressed as he was when he came to meet us clad in a simple tshirt and shorts outfit and carrying a pair of pruning shears!!) his tropical gardens are created for tourists and children’s enjoyment firstly.. And of course, everyone else…

When asked which part of the garden is his favorite, Khun Kampol cited the Dinosaur Valley and Cactus Garden where dinosaurs ‘roam’ too… and conspiratorially tells us that after the Gardens in the Sky is done, his next project might very well be building a Jurassic Park with even bigger dinosaurs..

We visited the Dinosaur Valley and Cactus Gardens where we were just amazed and at awe at those life sized dinosaurs created…

We had many fun moments taking photos with the well known and even lesser known dinosaurs which came in all shapes and sizes, some as tiny as a cat and some so gigantic, it is sheer amazing….

I definitely enjoyed taking a leisure stroll through the botanical park via the sky walk or sky bridge from my Lakeside Villa early mornings, it is bright at 6am and pretty warm too… To me, strolling around the over three kilometer long shaded elevated walkways was just amazing, with breathtaking view of gardens like the European garden, tropical palm garden, Butterfly Hill and Stonehenge garden from above..

It was pretty much like taking a little journey through fantasy lands (Enid Blyton’s the magic faraway tree comes to mind with strange lands above the tree…) and so somewhat around the world, through the many fascinating mini gardens here in the Nong Nooch Tropical Gardens…

Then there are species-specific gardens, such as cactus and succulent plants, orchid nurseries, tropical palm gardens, bonsai on roofs and topiary gardens…
