For my recent trip to Langkawi with Gaya Travel, I stayed at the Royale Chenang Resort, which is located along Jalan Pantai Tengah…

My first impression of it was I was truly charmed… It is an adorable and gorgeous little hotel…

It is just a short distance away from Pantai Cenang, within walking distance, even if you can tolerate Langkawi’s humidity (considering it is just about 1.5 to 2 km away from Underwater World /Zon Duty Free..

I was given the Deluxe Queen Room, that came with a comfortable large double bed with ample fluffy pillows… This is one of the hotels that has coloured bedding, so it is kind of homey… which is nice..

There is a total of about 40 rooms some with balcony, patio and even a mini dipping pool… The rooms has flat screen TVs, mini refrigerator, ironing board, bottled water, slippers…

They have WiFi but it is not working too well…

On the other hand I was fortunate to have a lovely room that opened to the main swimming pool which was such a beautiful sight…

Another thing I have to say I love about the rooms is the bathroom.. It comes with a little airwell to let some natural light and wind in, and even has some plants at the side and offers both rainfall shower and hand held shower…

My room had a lovely patio but I could not open the glass door to it, and since we were having a somewhat hectic schedule, that did not matter that much though I pinched my fingers a couple of times in my attempt to open the door, lol…

There is a little café and coffee/tea in a common area that serves cakes and free breakfast, but the breakfast is pretty basic… They have some roti jala or pancake served with curry, some cake, and you can choose from nasi lemak, eggs, noodles…

But if you ask me if I would stay here again, the answer is yes…

And yes, there are a lot of eateries and convenience stores nearby, so you do not have to look too far…
