Ghost Museum Melaka

The Ghost Museum Melaka is located in a double-storey shophouse along Jalan Kampung Hulu, just right opposite the famous Cendol Kampung Hulu and where my favorite Asam Pedas Ramen is being sold…

I was excited to be visiting it as it was said that the exhibits were being created by one of the art creators for the Universal Studios Singapore as well and the effect was of course, pretty breathtaking…

You won’t notice the time flying from all the fun you are having at this place (I was expecting to spend about an hour and ended up being here 2 whole hours) and this would be the perfect place to bring the family, kids and your buddies….

You will be assigned a tour guide who will guide and bring you through all the exhibits, help dress you up and also help take photos for you…

My tour guide for the day was Daus and he kept us guessing as well as cracked funny jokes that made us laugh along the way…

There were many interactive scenes and even if you have visited the other Ghost Museum (in Penang) or the Monster House (in Nilai) each and every scene you come across is a different scene or room…

Among the monsters featured were ghosts, Tok Bomoh (Shaman/wizard in Malay), Toyol, Jenglot, Bajang and Pelesit from Malaysia; Nang Tani ( Banana Tree Ghost), Krahang (a male ghost that flies in the night), Krasue (a female ghost whose flies around with just her head and entrails), and a hungry demon from Thailand; Chinese vampires (jiangshi), and Chinese demons from China, Pharaoh and mummies from Egypt and many more…
