To be really honest, I kind of unfairly had Hotel Seri Malaysia in a slightly spooky light… And before we set off on this trip, the few of us were idiotically sharing about our spooky experiences at certain hotels… So much so some of my friends were naughtily quipping we have to add a hashtag.. #gayamystic or #gayamistik to this trip…

However, my stay at the Hotel Seri Malaysia Melaka was anything but spooky.. It was surprisingly fun and we  actually had  a pretty cool stay for a medium cost hotel with plenty of good food (another surprise I had) ..

Hotel Seri Malaysia Melaka is situated about 1 km from the Ayer Keroh toll plaza.

Location wise, the hotel is conveniently close to many tourist attractions such as the Melaka Zoo, the Melaka Butterfly and Reptile farm, Taman Mini Asean, Taman Buaya, Bee Museum and the Ayer Keroh Recreational Park…

The Seri Malaysia Melaka hotel is also conveniently a 2 hour journey from Kuala Lumpur and/or Johor Bahru…

The hotel has a unique architecture and provides 100 units of elegant and comfortably furnished rooms with coffee & tea maker, internet access, air conditioners, hot water showers and flat screen HDTV…

My twin room which I shared with another friend was simple as expected for a 3 star hotel but definitely cosy and comfortable..

And there was seriously no strange disturbances or happenings at all for the two nights we were there despite our earlier misgivings…

I was very comfortable and slept very well on the clean bed and the rooms were also sealed after being cleaned and sanitised….

As mentioned.. You need not go far for good food.. Seri Malaysia Melaka seriously serves up plenty of yummy food, all so mouth wateringly good, they belong in a 5 star hotel or fine restaurant….

We had Assam Pedas Tenggiri, Curry Fish Head, Curried Noodles, Nasi Lemak, other traditional kuih and all tasted really, really good…

And as for you and your family/friend/colleagues safety and comfort, the SOP are all in place with having to check in via MySejahtera and also getting your temperature checked…

Cutleries at the food outlets are all packed in plastic as well to minimise possible contamination etc..

It was truly a fun stay with my friends and the awesome team from Gaya Travel and will definitely love to be back here again….
