Review – Rooftop 25 Bar and Lounge Launches All-New Signature Dishes


So yours truly here was over at the Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur South’s Rooftop 25 Bar and Lounge where they were introducing their new menu, featuring an array of crowd-pleasing comfort food to complement scenic views of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline.


From traditional Malaysian favourites to exciting fusion dishes, there is something to suit every diner’s palate. The menu takes on a mix of western and local flavours and is designed to pair well with Rooftop 25 Bar and Lounge’s beverage list.  


The first part of the menu features authentic local fare, rich in flavour history.


Rooftop 25’s best-selling Mee Bandung Raja Laut is a soup-based noodle dish consisting of peanuts and seafood paste. The recipe dates back to 35 years and is the chef’s grandmother’s secret recipe.


The Batu Road Fried Noodles too has a special place in the chef’s heart, as it is inspired by his grandfather who owned a hawker stall on Jalan Tar (previously known as Batu Road). Combining old and new ingredients, this charred noodle dish bursts smokey flavours.


The Aromatic Ayam Bakar is the first dish the chef attempted to cook when he first started in this industry 15 years ago. Since then, this old-time recipe has evolved, featuring two different cooking methods and a special homemade sauce.


The second part of the menu takes a modern twist, presenting an array of fusion dishes. Must-try dishes include the Fabulous Cilantro Pasta, a thai inspired recipe featuring linguine tossed with spicy garlic cilantro oil, baby spinach and parmesan served with poached seafood.


The Classic Mobley Burger is Hilton Garden Inn’s signature burger. Named after Conrad Hilton’s first hotel, it consists of a homemade patty, Chef’s burger sauce, maple bacon relish and cheese and is served with fries.


Perfect for sharing, the Javanese Chilli Fries is mixed with tempeh, groundnuts and anchovies in sambal sauce.


Combining Japanese and Chinese flavours, the Pan Fried Salmon Asian Glaze is the chef’s very own recipe. Paired with mushroom rice pilaf, this dish makes a decadent treat.


Especially for couples, a great way to experience the new menu is through the romantic, Date Night package. Priced at RM550 nett per couple (RM495 nett for early bird price), the package includes a 3-course dinner (choice of Pan Seared Beef Sirloin Steak, Butter Garlic Chicken Breast Skillet or Pan Fried Salmon Asian Glaze, two drinks (choice of beer, wine or soft drink), a complimentary 2 Day 1 Night room voucher with breakfast for two (valid for 6 months), and a 15% discount voucher for their next visit to Rooftop 25.
