The Gombak Cowboy Café offers a variety of Western and local dishes best suited for Malaysian tastebuds.

This interesting but simple café is a pretty simple wooden cafe built like one of those saloons in the wild, wild west, cowboy style and offers an real experience since you can also see and smell the stables and the assortment of horses in the field/paddocks, from ponies, throughbreds and Apache horses…

And watch out for the chickens at the rafters of the stables… I almost thought they were placed there until they actually moved…

Anyway, am here to talk about the food… Yupppp… The good, wholesome delicious food they served there at the Gombak Cowboy Café…

I was there with some of my close friends and so we ordered a few dishes to share…

Thai Salad – RM10.00
Not really so thai, but these plate of lush green salad came drizzled with Thai Chilli sauce, fruit cocktail and lychee!!! It is light, perfect. For anyone on a diet and is just fresh and sweet…

Minestroni soup – RM12.00
This piping hot tomato based soup came with bits of pasta, spaghetti swimming in it, mince beef, potato, broccoli etc and served with 3 slices of garlic bread.. Love it!!!

Nachos – RM15.00
This plate of flavored Nachos came with some baked beans paste/sauce at bottom and a scoop of avocado tomato salsa mixture and cheese drizzled on it… Delicious…!!!

Buffalo Cowboy – RM15.00
This dish consist of fried chicken smothered with sweet spicy sauce and served with purple cabbage coleslaw… Very tasty indeed.. Almost like those Korean flavoured chicken…

Smokey Duck Breast – RM25.00
Oh how can I resist a dish with Smoked Duck, especially one prepared like this.. Its simply a must try for all Smoked Duck lovers…

Lamb Shank – RM35.00
This generous and tender chunk of lamb shank sits in a pool of black pepper sauce with some creamer drizzled in.. The potatoes are grilled and is a combination you really should not miss… Just irresistible if you ask me..

Expresso Chocolate Smoothie and Mocha Smoothie RM15.00 each of these delicious ice blended drinks topped with a wafer and chocolate love letter… Simply delicious…

I also like the fact that you can pay using Maybank QR pay, Touch N Go E – Wallet, bank transfer and cash…. Since I am kinda used to using E-wallet most of the time too…
