After all the travel frustrations in the last two years, of postponed flights and cancelled trips, all because of the havoc and chaos the Covid19 pandemic created, the Matta Fair April 2022 is back again in Kuala Lumpur!!!!

This time around, Malaysia’s largest well-known travel fair will be a two-day event that is free admission for everyone.

It has been two miserable long years since most of us Malaysians have not had the opportunity to travel abroad for holidays, and with this April’s Matta Fair 2022 offering all kinds of travel packages and deals, there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel for those craving travel as well as tourism operators…

Expect a slew of great attractive airfares and travel packages at the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair, which is currently happening on Apr 9 and 10 at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL).
Bargains include great deals by MATTA’s official airline, Malaysia Airlines, Firefly and MASwings.
Visitors to the two-day fair can enjoy great discounts on airfares, exciting activities, and an opportunity to win return tickets when visiting the Malaysia Airlines booth.
With Malaysia’s borders finally reopened, Malaysia Airlines will be offering up to 45% off airfares to all domestic and selected international destinations within its network, for immediate travel up to Nov 30, 2022 while Firefly will also be offering enticing discounts of up to 50% off airfares when holidayseekers book via its mobile application or web from April 7 to 10, 2022, for travel beginning April 14 to Oct 29, 2022.
Those who purchase Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, and MASwings’ flight tickets from participating agents will also take home limited-edition merchandise from the airlines as well as Enrich. Holidaygoers can also stand a chance to win a Business Class upgrade from Malaysia Airlines with every purchase of an Economy Class ticket.
To hype up the all-time favourite MATTA’s Buyers’ Contest this time, Malaysia Airlines is giving away three Business class return tickets and seven Economy class return tickets to both international and domestic destinations.
Firefly is offering six return complimentary vouchers to any Firefly domestic routes while MASwings has five return tickets to any of MASwings destinations to give away.
Additionally, visitors can also purchase an array of local goods, limited-edition collections and merchandise from participating merchants under Journify, the one-stop travel and lifestyle digital platform by Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), at its dedicated booth.

At the same time, Sarawak has been selected as the featured destination at the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair 2022…
During the fair, Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) with 20 of its industry partners will be showcasing Sarawak’s attractive culture, adventure, nature, food and festival (CANFF) offerings, ranging from leisure activities to adrenaline-pumping tour packages such as visiting traditional longhouses, diving, kayaking and mountain-climbing….
To give visitors a preview of what Sarawak has to offer, our booth design is inspired by the architecture of the newly-opened Borneo Cultures Museum, the biggest in Malaysia and the second largest in Southeast Asia which is a destination not to be missed when visiting Sarawak.
Among the unique attractions that had been packaged include night cycling around Kuching City, heritage discovery of Bung Jagoi, an old Bidayuh village established more than 150 years ago, Sarawak’s coastal villages exploration and Mulu National Park, a UNESCO Heritage site.

At Sarawak’s booth numbered 4051-4071 near the main entrance of WTC Hall 4, visitors will be able to participate in a Sarawak-themed puzzle to take home unique giveaway items such as a Penan clutch bag, authentic handwoven rattan pepper baskets or bead garlands.
In conjunction with the Ramadan month, STB will also be giving away authentic Kek Lapis and Bubur Pedas, a local traditional dish of the Sarawakian Malays that would normally be served during the breaking of fast.

Visitors to the booth will also be entertained with a repertoire of Sarawak’s indigenous music by a traditional contemporary world music band from the state, At Adau, as well as a variety of dance and music performances by the Sarawak Arts Council (SAC)

MATTA assured its visitors that strict compliance to the standard operating procedure will be followed. Only fully vaccinated visitors are allowed to enter the premises and they must wear face masks at all times and exercise physical distancing in the halls. This applies to exhibitors’ staff, too.
Admission to the fair, open from 9am to 7pm, is free, so grab the opportunity to visit tomorrow!!!
