Christmas Review 2022 – Aloft KL Sentral….

Nook is deciding to be both Naughty & Nice this Christmas with their Naughty & Nice Christmas spread….

We were over for some tasting and we really love this spread which has been painstakingly prepared by Executive Chef Norhanis Nordin and the Aloft KL Sentral creative culinary elves.

Aloft which has always been different by design, offers the Crispy Chicken Ballotine, which will be on display at the carving station as their fantastic fowl this festive season !!!!!

What is Christmas without Turkey, you say…. But no worries, Turkey lovers will still get their fix, as the bird is stuffed with turkey ham and apricot, before being rolled into a bundle and roasted.

Meat lovers will also have a holly, jolly Christmas, as other highlights include some juicy Garlic Roast Leg of Lamb, served with classic mint sauce, Slow-Cooked Lamb with Grilled Aubergine and Feta Crumble, and Braised Beef Brisket in Shallot Jus, served with soft polenta cake and charred carrots.

Nook’s chefs have also prepared some super seafood dishes, such as the Salmon Platter – salmon smoked and cured four ways, in beetroot, charcoal, lemon dill, or honey lemon, or the Pan-Fried Seabass with Caramelised Fennel and Orange Glaze, or the smooth Salmon Coulibiac.

If you’re feeling a little guilty with all the feasting, Nook has got a not-so-naughty and very nice plant-based station for you to enjoy, complete with the likes of Beetroot Hummus, Spinach, Almond & Cranberry Salad, Brussel Sprouts and Pear with Pomegranate and more.

Aloft’s plush toys are so popular, so the creative culinary elves decided to make them into gingerbread!

Along with some Mini Eggnog Cups (non-alcoholic), festive cake-pops, Rhubarb & Gingerbread Trifle, traditional Minced Pies, Christmas Pudding and the ever popular chocolate fountain, even the little ones will love this sumptuous dessert spread.

Back by popular demand are Aloft’s three terrific homemade log cakes, created by pastry chef Zahrin, available both at Nook’s buffet spread and for takeaway. The crowd-pleasing “Mangonificent” log cake, boasts fresh mango cubes in the centre of this delicious and airy cake, topped with a chocolate star and bell, with two chocolate squares at either end…..

For something a little richer, try “Sweet Darkness 61”, a dark chocolate dream made from 61% dark chocolate and decorated with chocolate stars. Inspired by the self-expressers that form Aloft’s guests, the striking “Lady in Red”, a raspberry mousse log cake with accent of pistachio, also returns.
