Malaysia’s aerospace industry is set to take flight once again as the MyAERO Summit 2026, the country’s premier aerospace convention, returns for another dynamic edition. The summit was officially soft-launched earlier today at Menara MITI in Kuala Lumpur, in the presence of Sim Sze Tzin, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI).

Supported by MITI, the annual convention is jointly organised by the National Aerospace Industry Corporation Malaysia(NAICO Malaysia) and Moonman Events Sdn Bhd. Over the years, the summit has grown alongside Malaysia’s rapidly evolving aerospace sector, becoming a key platform for industry collaboration, innovation and strategic growth.
A Bigger Platform for a Growing Industry

Reflecting the strong momentum of Malaysia’s aerospace ecosystem, MyAERO Summit 2026 will move to a larger venue this year at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS), providing expanded exhibition grounds and event halls to accommodate more participants and industry showcases.
The summit will run for three days from 25 to 27 June 2026.
- Day 1 & Day 2: Dedicated trade days for industry professionals, policymakers, investors and businesses to engage in strategic discussions, partnerships and deal-making.
- Day 3: Open to the public, allowing visitors to explore aerospace innovations and discover the future of aviation and space technologies.
This carefully designed structure ensures meaningful engagement while offering both industry players and the public a chance to experience the evolving aerospace landscape.
Strengthening Malaysia’s Aerospace Ambitions

In his keynote address during the soft launch, YB Sim highlighted the strategic importance of the aerospace sector to Malaysia’s economic future.
“Our aspirations for the industry are clearly outlined in the **Malaysia Aerospace Industry Blueprint 2030 (MAIB 2030), which serves as the roadmap to position Malaysia as a leading aerospace hub in the region,” he said.
Malaysia’s aerospace ecosystem has grown significantly over the years, with more than 270 aerospace-related companies contributing to an industry output of RM25 billion annually and supporting up to 30,000 highly skilled jobs.
Recognised as a high-growth, high-value sector, Malaysia has firmly positioned itself within the global aerospace supply chain, which was valued at approximately USD384.1 billion in 2025.
MRO Leadership and Manufacturing Growth
A major highlight of Malaysia’s aerospace industry remains its strong Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO)segment, which continues to anchor the sector’s growth.
According to YB Sim:
- The MRO segment contributes approximately RM12 billion
- Aerospace manufacturing contributes around RM8 billion in 2024
Both segments present strong opportunities for future expansion, particularly in areas such as aerostructures, advanced composites and high-tech manufacturing capabilities.
Six Key Pillars Driving the Summit
Guided by the MAIB 2030 roadmap, MyAERO Summit 2026 will spotlight six critical pillars shaping the future of aerospace:
- Aerospace supply chain development
- Sustainability and green aviation initiatives
- Advanced air mobility
- Talent development and education pathways
- Emerging aerospace technologies
- Space and satellite technology
These focus areas aim to accelerate industry transformation while strengthening Malaysia’s role within the ASEAN aerospace ecosystem.
Building the Future of Aerospace in Malaysia
For National Aerospace Industry Corporation Malaysia, the summit represents more than just an industry gathering — it is a platform to shape the future of Malaysia’s aerospace sector.
Through industry collaboration, talent development initiatives, technology adoption and international partnerships, NAICO Malaysia continues to push forward its mission of strengthening the national aerospace ecosystem.
With a solid foundation already in place, the next step is scaling the industry further and positioning Malaysia as Southeast Asia’s preferred aerospace economy by 2030.
