So for my recent trip to beautiful Terengganu, I stayed at the Primula Beach Resort…. It isn’t my first time staying here as I have stayed here before and it probably won’t be my last… Here are 5 reasons why…
Location – This international class business resort might be a little outdated, since it was established in 1984, but it is still one of the famous landmarks in Kuala Terengganu because of the uniqueness of it’s beach front location that is just a stone’s throw away from the business hub and places of attractions in town……
The Primula Beach Hotel has undeniably one of the most convenient location… And it is so easy to go anywhere…
And yes, KTCC (Kuala Terengganu’s newest mall) and the new KT Drawbridge is also just literally around the corner… (you can even see it from the beach)
For example, for this trip, I checked in to the hotel after a trip to Pulau Lang Tengah, which was in Merang, Setiu… Then I also wanted to go for a day trip to Pulau Kapas, which was in Marang.. And visit several attractions in Kuala Terengganu before going back to the Kuala Terengganu airport… The Primula Beach Hotel was just smacked in the centre of it all…
Comfort – The Primula Beach Hotel might be undeniably a little outdated, but the charming thing about older hotels is these older hotels afford you a more spacious room then the newer ones, fret not, the beds are comfortable and I slept peacefully through the night the two nights I stayed here… The air conditioning keeps you cool…
Choose from one of the 234 rooms and suites and wake up to the mesmerizing sight and soothing sounds of waves…
The rooms comes with an attached bathroom and basic modern amenities such as coloured TV with cable channel, hair dryer, iron and ironing stand, tea/coffee making facilities, mini-bar and toiletries.
Food – Primula Beach Hotel serves pretty delicious food… My favorites would be their Nasi Timur Tengah for lunch…
Or you should also indulge in some Kari Kepala Ikan which is just so flavourful…
…and if you have room for desserts, I definitely had a hard time choosing between the Creme Caramel and their Pandan Cake which was just so delicious…
Followed by some Lempeng Nyior, Ubi Kayu, Laksa Terengganu or/and cucur(fritters) or keropok lekor for tea at the garden area of the hotel where they set up some hawker stalls…
Head to Anjung Bistro in the evening for their Steamboat.. which is really tasty…
And for breakfast… I just love the nasi dagang.. (when in Terengganu, eat as the Terengganu people eat… Hehehe)
Recreation /Activities – if you want to relax it the hotel, head to the spacious free-form swimming pool or the beach…
They have a beautiful swimming pool which families with children will love since it also comes with slides…
The Batu Burok beach the hotel accesses to may not come with powdery white sand but it is still a pretty looking beach (it is however a little dirty as the irresponsible public leaves their litter and rubbish behind at times). It is however not advisable to swim here…
I enjoy walking along the beach and watch the waves crashing to the shore…
If you are in a lazy mood, rent one of the hammocks for RM10 per hour and let yourself get lulled to a short nap in the garden or it would be a perfect place to read a book while enjoying your surroundings too…
Hospitality – You will find the staff here very frendly and helpful, and they will do their best to cater to your every need possible…
There you have it.. I have given you 5 reasons why Primula Beach Hotel should be your “home” when you are in Kuala Terengganu…. So head on over there when you are visiting Kuala Terengganu
Naturally.. If you want even more nicer accomodations, book one of the suites and you will feel like you are staying in some fine mansion or even a palace
The Primula Suite is like a fancy apartment on its own, with sitting room, dining area, a four-poster bed and jacuzzi…
