Tioman Island Conservation Day 2019 - While the divers in the group went to do House Reef Clean Up, we non - divers were tasked building the glass reef, in which we cleaned and peeled plastic labels off from glass bottles before putting these bottles into the glass crushing machine to produce glass sand. . These glass sand is then mixed with cement to make a base with four glass bottles in the middle which are then used to rehabilitate broken, injured corals so that they can grow again with their new base.. .
