Wearing hanbok to a palace or somewhere cultural in Korea make you feel royal or as if you were somebody… but it also helps save on entrance fees, as many palaces and temples around Korea will allow hanbok wearers free entrance….

So you will definitely be seeing many people wear beautiful hanboks at all the popular places!!!

Renting a hanbok in Seoul near Gyeongbokgung Palace is easy, but where can you fine beautiful and intricate designs at a lesser and more affordable price ??!!! That was my mission when I was in Seoul, Korea recently because I was alone and traveling on a very skimpy budget…

I found the perfect place which was none other then The Artist Hanbok which actually charge you prices much lower than the shops 2 minutes down the tourist road.

The prices of the rental are as follows:-
*2 hours 5,000 KRW
*4 hours 9,000 KRW (normally it can cost about 17,000 KRW!)
*All Day 15,000 KRW or $13 USD
Hair accessories >1,000 KRW / hairstyling >5000 KRW

I got myself a beautiful hanbok for just 5000 KRW to enter Gyeongbokgung and the National Palace Museum.. and 2 hours was ample time for me!!! And since it was affordable, I decided I wanted some dolling up, and got my hair done for an additional 5000 KRW with pretty flowers and a matching daenggi / hair ribbon!!!! They even let me borrow a little matching bag!!!

The Artist Hanbok, is situated just a minute away from Gyeongbokgung Station (Exit 2) – when you come out of the exit you will see a Paris Baguette Shop… The Artist Hanbok is at the lane BEHIND the Paris Baguette Shop!!!

So now you know where to go!!!
