Paris became the stage for a proud Malaysian moment as The Walk of Malaysia 2026 was officially launched in the French capital during Paris Fashion Week. The historic launch took place on 5 March 2026 from 9pm to 10pm at Oya Fusion Restaurant, bringing together diplomats, industry leaders, creatives and international models in a celebration of Malaysian culture and fashion.

The launch was officiated by H.E. Datuk Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim, Ambassador of Malaysia to France, alongside Amy Chiew, Founder and Creative Director of Nottingheels. Their presence marked a significant milestone in promoting Malaysian creativity and cultural heritage on the global stage.
Among the distinguished guests present were Clara Hulme, Founder of Clume; Zalina, Director of Tourism Malaysia Paris; and Mr. Chan Yik Sing together with officers from MATRADE Paris. Adding glamour and international flair to the evening were special guest appearances by Norwegian and Mongolian models Soba, Julia and Khristine, who brought a global touch to the celebration.

The highly anticipated Walk of Malaysia 2026 event will take place on 1 August 2026 in Langkawi, promising to be a spectacular showcase of Malaysian fashion, creativity and cultural identity against the stunning backdrop of one of Malaysia’s most beautiful island destinations.
Nottingheels Shines at Paris Fashion Week

Earlier the same evening, from 6pm to 8pm, Nottingheels presented its exquisite Songket Series during a special showcase at Hilton Hotels Paris Opera as part of Paris Fashion Week.
The presentation highlighted the timeless beauty of Malaysian songket, a luxurious handwoven fabric deeply rooted in Malay heritage. The intricate craftsmanship, rich textures and cultural symbolism of the collection captivated the Parisian audience, offering them a glimpse into the artistry and soul of Malaysia.
For Amy Chiew, Founder and Creative Director of Nottingheels, the showcase represented more than fashion — it was a cultural statement.
Bringing Malaysian heritage to the international stage through songket allowed global audiences to appreciate the beauty, history and craftsmanship that define Malaysia’s cultural identity.
