Checking out the Longest Water Slide in the World at Escape Penang

Ever since I was at the ESCAPE Penang a couple of years ago, I really loved their concept… You see, ESCAPE Penang is a unique theme park filled with adventurous and challenging activities hosted in nature…

Yeah…ESCAPE Penang is all about nature…. This family-friendly theme park was created and built to help foster the bond between friends or family members, so that they can have fun and also get back to nature…

ESCAPE Penang believes that there is no age limit to having fun.. All of the rides and games are designed for a wide range of age groups and abilities, with an emphasis on self-directed and self-powered play.

ESCAPE Penang is a 45-minute drive from Georgetown, located in Teluk Bahang and completely surrounded by nature. There are 3 zones in the theme park – an Adventureplay area for aspiring Tarzan, a Waterplay and Gravityplay for those who love the challenge of heights….

So we were there to try out the longest water slide in the world, which has been certified by the Guinness Book of Records.. The slide is 1,111 metres long…

It takes about 6 minutes to be chair-lifted up to the top of the slide, so hurrah for that… It is one of the slides you don’t have to huff and puff all the way to the top….

And about another 6 minutes (give or take) to queue up and it will be a six-minute ride meandering its way down a 70-meter slope, passing through treetop view, until we reach the bottom…. The ride is slow, steady and sweet… And it is not scary or challenging as the idea.. So it is suitable. For kids of all ages (except the tiny ones), even the over grown ones….

Once we had done and dusted our bucket list for the trip/visit, we headed to other rides such as the Family Twister, Lazy River and also the Mega Drop…
