Tourism Selangor Strengthens Its Position at MATTA Fair April 2026 with 86 Exhibitors and New Klang Tourism Packages

Tourism Selangor reaffirmed its status as a leading tourism destination through an impactful showcase at MATTA Fair April 2026, featuring an impressive lineup of 86 exhibitors. The participation highlighted a diverse range of tourism products, strategic collaborations, and forward-thinking initiatives aligned with the Visit Selangor and Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaigns.

Driving Tourism Growth Through Strategic Collaboration

This year’s presence at MATTA Fair emphasised strong partnerships between government agencies, local authorities, and industry players. These collaborations play a crucial role in strengthening Selangor’s tourism ecosystem while enhancing its appeal to both domestic and international travellers.

A key milestone during the event was the launch of a new community-based tourism package by Klang Royal City Council. The initiative focuses on immersive travel experiences that celebrate Klang’s rich cultural heritage, historical landmarks, and vibrant food scene.

Discover Klang: A Cultural and Culinary Gem

The newly introduced tourism package invites visitors to explore Klang through curated experiences that blend history, culture, and gastronomy. Among the standout attractions included are:

  • Royal Klang Town Heritage Walk
  • Tanjung Harapan

Exclusive Launch: Chocolate Museum’s Limited-Edition Treat

Adding excitement to the fair, Chocolate Museum introduced a special limited-edition product — the Danson Pistachio Crunchy Kunafa Filling Chocolate Bar.

With only 5,000 units produced, the exclusive launch at MATTA Fair came with a promotional price of RM29 (originally RM39). Visitors who purchased the chocolate were also rewarded with a complimentary entry ticket to the Chocolate Museum, creating a unique and value-added experience.

The product will later be available at selected locations including Kota Damansara, Putrajaya, Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang, Genting Highlands Premium Outlets, Johor Premium Outlets, and Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Enhancing Travel Safety Through Strategic Partnerships

Tourism Selangor also marked a significant milestone by signing a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) with Bateriku. This strategic partnership integrates automotive assistance services into Selangor’s digital tourism platform.

The initiative aims to enhance travel safety and convenience by providing accessible roadside support, aligning with the Selangor State Government’s vision of building a safer, smarter, and more competitive tourism landscape.

The Selangor Pavilion featured a wide range of tourism players, showcasing the state’s diverse offerings—from eco-tourism and cultural attractions to family-friendly destinations and hospitality experiences. Participating brands included:
