This Lunar New Year, The Living Room will be offering 4 different Yee Sang for diners to toss for prosperity. Select from a choice of Abalone Yee Sang, Norwegian Salmon with Bonito Flakes Yee Sang, Pacific Clam Prosperity ‘Yee Sang’ and a meat-free version, the Eat Well (Fruit & Vegetable) Yee Sangmade from natural fresh fruits and vegetables.

Lunar New Year Buffet

Diners can indulge in an extensive spread which will feature the occasion’s specialty dishes served on a rotational menu.

The highlights on the buffet line for the festive spread will include Steamed Crab with Ginger and Scallion in Soy Sauce, Braised Green Vegetable and Chinese Mushroom with Fish Stomach in Abalone Sauce…..

I enjoyed the Wok-Fried Tiger Prawns with Mongolian Sauce, Stew-Dry Seafood Treasure with ‘Wan Ear’ Mushroom in ‘Fatt Choy’ Sauce, Braised Pacific Clams with Homemade Egg Bean Curd and Broccoli

There is also Lotus Leaf Rice with Gold Leaves, Wok-Fried Bamboo Clams with XO Sauce, Wok-Fried Prawn Meat with Tree Cup & Basil Leaves in Yam Ring, Crispy Vietnamese Money Bag with Cheese and Stew Stuffing Mushroom Eight Treasure Chicken Leg amongst others will all be served on a rotational basis over the New Year period.

At the Soup section, diners can enjoy a hot bowl of Szechuan Hot and Sour Soup or Double-boiled Black Chicken Broth with Dry Mushroom and Fish Stomach.

A show stopper on the buffet spread this year would be a choice of Chef David’s Crispy Five Spiced or Oriental flavoured Smoked Roasted Duck both served with Truffle Plum Sauce, Hoisin Sour Sauce, and Orange Plum Sauce.

Chef David’s desserts include Double-boiled White Fungus with Red Dates Broth and Glutinous Rice Balls or the Warm Crispy Sweet Potato New Year Cakes and Taro.

The buffet spread will also be featuring The Living Room’s signature Fresh Seafood on Ice, Sushi Bar, Live Pasta, The Grill, Spice of India and the Carving station.
