Cruise 2025 – MV Piano Land Arrives in Malaysia: A New Wave of Luxury Cruising at Port Klang

Malaysia’s cruise scene is sailing into an exciting new chapter! Tourism Malaysia officially welcomed the luxurious MV Piano Land at Port Klang, marking a major boost for the country’s maritime tourism just in time for Visit Malaysia 2026.

Arriving from Hong Kong with over 1,760 passengers, MV Piano Land will be operating 11 sailings from 29 November to 25 December 2025, homeporting at Port Klang for smooth, fuss-free voyages to Penang and Langkawi… two of Malaysia’s most beloved island destinations.

What sets this cruise apart is its Muslim-friendly hospitality concept. All kitchens and food preparation areas are fully halal-certified, offering travellers a delicious spread of local and international cuisines. With dedicated prayer rooms and family-friendly programmes, passengers of all ages can look forward to a comfortable, inclusive, and meaningful journey at sea.

Tourism Malaysia highlighted that MV Piano Land’s arrival represents strong collaboration between Tourism Malaysia and its port and industry partners, strengthening Malaysia’s position as a premier cruise hub in the region.

As part of the initiative, Tourism Malaysia will be hosting a FAM Trip from 1–3 December 2025, bringing together 60 media members, influencers, and travel agents on a special sailing from Port Klang to Penang. Participants will enjoy first-hand experiences aboard MV Piano Land before exploring Penang’s top attractions.

A welcoming ceremony at Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal on 2 December will be graced by Dato’ Yeoh Soon Hin, who will present souvenirs as a token of appreciation for their support.

With its homeporting in Malaysia, MV Piano Land is expected to drive economic activity, elevate the country’s cruise tourism sector, and offer Malaysians and regional travellers more seamless holiday options. It’s a promising push toward Tourism Malaysia’s goal of attracting 47 million international visitors for VM2026, showcasing the country’s rich culture, flavours, and unforgettable coastal landscapes.

Get ready…. Malaysia’s cruise tourism is officially back on the horizon.
