My bestie and I (plus my daughter) decided to head over to Ipoh for a quick trip… And we decided to stay at the Travelodge Ipoh, which seemed conveniently along the way since my daughter wanted to go to the Sunway Lost World of Tambun…

The Travelodge Ipoh is a fairly “new” hotel that debuted in January 2020 as the city’s first internationally-branded hotel….

With 268 newly refurbished guestrooms in what can be considered a great location, the hotel definitely offers comfort, convenience, and connectivity for their guests, both business and leisure travellers….

The Travelodge Ipoh is in close proximity to the business district and well-known historical, cultural, and culinary attractions….

It also boast panoramic views of the nearby Ipoh Turf Club and city centre (which is easily accessible by foot or car or grab) , a suite of meeting facilities, and The Lodge, a multi-use communal and dining space, the hotel is the perfect venue for leisure, business, and MICE.

My daughter and I checked into a 29sqm Deluxe Queen Room which was pretty welcoming and cosy…
The room came with a comfortable queen sized bed, 4 pillows and even a daybed that was perfect for lounging with a good book as a respite from exploring and discovering the city or serves as an extra bed for a child or so…

I had a lovely view of the city more or less and an even lovelier sunset view
The room came with cable / satellite TV with good number of channels, closet, mini fridge and coffee and tea-making facilities….

There is also a hair dryer, an ample amenities in the adjoining bathroom with a pretty good brand of toiletries (love the smell) and slippers
The hotel offers free flow of filtered water but you have to refill it yourself at the corridor… There is an iron and ironing board also at the corridor area…

Travelodge Ipoh also has different room categories such as family room with 2 queen bed, sitting area and even a bathtub…

Guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast in The Lodge restaurant and it also serves some a la carte meals.

KPJ Ipoh bus stop is nearly a 5-minute walk away. Guests can choose to access the hotel’s fitness centre which is a little bit small or pay RM12 to access the on site fitness centre which is pretty well equipped… Travelodge Ipoh also comes with a children play room and an outdoor pool….
Travelodge Ipoh also has meeting spaces and a ballroom that can accommodate up to 300 guests…

Travelodge Ipoh is just about 10 minutes by car from the Ipoh airport, 9 minutes drive to Sam Poh Tong Cave Temple and about 7 km from Lost World of Tambun Theme Park in Ipoh…..
