Ramadan Buffet 2022 – IFTAR @ DE’KENDURI

For the first time in the history of iftars / Ramadan buffets, you will step foot into a delightful garden and event space area just to be a little confused but then will soon enjoy the uniqueness of this Ramadan Buffet spread where they actually present to you a variety of menu which is unique to certain feast or ‘Kenduri’ here in Malaysia….

Yeah, as you stroll through the lovely event space area, you will see stalls with “Kenduri” labels on them which can be pretty confusing butttt pretty fun….

We start with Kenduri Kawin or Wedding feast where the offerings are:-
▪️Nasi Briyani/Nasi Minyak/Nasi Tomato/ Nasi Hjn Panas
▪️Ayam Msk Merah/Madu/Kurma/Kicap Mamak
▪️Daging Kari/Kurma/Rendang Hitam/Rendang Minang
▪️Acar Jelatah/Acar Buah/Pajeri Nenas

Moving on, the next stall would be Kenduri Tahlil or a feast usually done after some prayers and thoughts have been said /dedicated for family members or close friends who have departed this world before us… and here the offerings are:-
▪️Nasi Putih
▪️Keli Berlada/Keli Sambal Hijau/Keli Msk Lemak + Pucuk Maman/Keli Lmk Belimbing Buluh
▪️Sambal Udang Petai/Masak Lemak Udang Galah/Masak Lemak Perut+Udang
▪️Ikan Masak Cuka/Asam Pedas Ikan/Ikan Kari
▪️Masak Lemak Pucuk Manis/Masak Lmk Pucuk Paku/Mask Tempoyak Pucuk Ubi
▪️Ikan Kering/Ikan Pekasam
▪️Aneka Ulaman
▪️Aneka Sambal

Next one is the Kenduri Kesyukuran or Thanksgiving Feast with delicious food offerings such as :-
▪️Ayam Cashew Nut/Ayam Paprik/Chicken Salted egg/ Ayam Kam Heong/Masak lemak Ayam + Pegaga
▪️Daging Black Pepper/Fish Fillet Sweet Sour/Butter Milk Prawn/Masak Lemak Telur Itik
▪️Mix Vege/Tauhu Jepun Sos Telur
▪️Kerabu Pucuk Paku + Kerang/ Kerabu Taugeh + Perut/ Kerabu Kacang Botol

There’s also a Kenduri Buat Rumah Baru (Style Kpg2) or housewarming feast , kampung style serving up:-

▪️Bubur Kacang/Pengat Pisang/Bubur Chacha/Bubur Keledek/Bubur Pulut Hitam
▪️Pulut Kuning + Rendang Ayam

Then there’s Kenduri Naik Pangkat or Thanksgiving Feast for Promotion that made all of us tease each other that we needed to eat this food to order to get promoted faster…

Roti Jala + Kuah Durian

Then there is the Kenduri Hari Jadi or Birthday party which means there are plenty of :-

▪️Pastries n cakes
▪️Cendol
▪️Kordial
▪️Teh tarik

Of course, you should not miss out on Kenduri Rumah Terbuka or Open House which serves up yummy:-
