Now with the new endemic phase, we can now finally travel and we are also seeing travellers returning
For those traveling, I have great news, which is eMedAsia has partnered with CLEADOC to offer Ministry of Health compliant Virtual RTK-Ag Tests @ RM25 per test…
This would mean no more clinic visits… you can just do the test in the comfort of your home woth a recognised or approved self test kit and follow the CLEADOC’s in app instructions … The results will be verified by the panel doctors and uploaded to your MySejahtera app accordingly
Before travelling to Malaysia those travelling have to download the MySejahtera app and verify their overseas vaccine certificate through the mysafetravel portal
Since 1 April 2022, all travellers who have been fully vaccinated can enter Malaysia without the need of quarantine, however he or she must have received his or her final dose at least 14 days before travel to be considered fully vaccinated….
But in some cases, including if the traveller is 60 years old or above, Malaysia requires a third booster dose to be considered fully vaccinated. Do check the full details of the requirements on the MySafe Travel website.
It is also a requirement that the traveller has to provide a negative PCR test result taken within 2 days before departure and also a professional RTK antigen test within 24 hours of arrival….
I am here to share on how you can ease your travels to and from Malaysia by making an Online Pre-Booking for your On-Arrival RTK Tests through eMedAsia.com at approximately 2,500 eMedAsia’s GPs nationwide!!!
This helps to also minimize any risk of unnecessary COVID-19 exposure while queueing with a crowd…
You can actually just arrange your personal RTK or PCR Swabbing on site at your accommodation (hotel) or nearest clinic at affordable prices and get dIrect updates on your MySejahtera by the medical doctors/clinics (manual updates not required)
eMedAsia only has reliable and registered medical doctors recognised and approved by MoH & KOOP MMA
Professional RTK-Ag performed at clinics: RM90 for foreigners and for RM70 for Malaysian
If those travelling are not fully vaccinated or just partially vaccinated, he or she may still travel but will need to comply with the following testing and quarantine requirement…
He or she is required to show a negative PCR test result taken 2 days before departure and take a PCR or supervised RTK antigen test at the end of his or her quarantine period, which is a total of 5 days and meet all costs associated with the quarantine.
Again, as mentioned above, he or she can simply arrange his or her personal RTK or PCR Swabbing on site at their accommodation (hotel) or nearest clinic at affordable prices and get direct updates on their MySejahtera by the medical doctors/clinics (manual updates not required)
However, if the one travelling has been somehow hospitalized due to COVID-19 within 11-60 days before departure, he or she would be required to submit a fit to travel letter from the hospital…
Those who have an onward domestic flight in peninsular Malaysia, will still need to undergo quarantine in Kuala Lumpur. Any onward flight to a regional airport will need to be booked at a later date.
Please take note that though those traveling may transit (up to 24 hours only) via Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) they have to remain airside.
Any transit that requires passage through immigration (to collect bags, or to move between the two Kuala Lumpur terminals – KLIA and KLIA2) is not allowed , unless the one travelling meets the general immigration requirements above.
