The Sepang District is a district located in the southern part of the state of Selangor..
Sepang district is uniquely shaped and when viewed from above resembles the hilt of a keris (a traditional Malay dagger)…

Sepang’s name is said to originated from the Sepang trees which grew in the area and well, when we think of famous places in Sepang, the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), KLIA2 and the Sepang International Circuit are three famous places in this district….
Here are two other interesting places as well as the Sepang International Circuit worth checking out and visiting when you are in Sepang
HL Dragon Fruit Eco Farm

HL Dragon Fruit Eco Farm is a fun place to visit… it offers a variety of fun agriculture activities.
You can plant your own dragon fruit plant, experience harvesting your own dragon fruit and even learn the pollination of dragon fruit flower. And how the flower blooms only at night and shuts when the morning gets warmer…

Take a little tour around HL Dragon Fruit Eco Farm along with one of their tour guides and see the variety of dragon fruits planted there…

Strike a pose or two in front of the Malaysia’s Largest ‘Dragon Fruit’ Shaped Structure which had been certified by the Malaysia Book Of Records in 2021.

And surprise, surprise, you can even go inside this amazing structure which has been painted in neon lights and such to learn how dragon fruits came to be planted here… take a peek at the roof top of the structure and see the glorious farm view and even the occasional plane flying past…

Dragon fruit can be prepared in many delicious and interesting ways too… and you can try these delicious dishes made with dragon fruit or even the dragon fruit flower such as the dragon fruit fried rice, buns, ice-blended drinks and dragon fruit salad at HL Restaurant & Cafe….
HL Restaurant & Cafe is Malaysia’s 1st Dragon Fruit Theme Restaurant…
One of their signature dishes would be the JUMBO DRAGON BUN, a dragon fruit bun wrapped around some local Sepang curry chicken.

HL also serves yummy Dragon Fruit Nasi Lemak, Dragon Fruit Enzyme Chicken, Carbonara Seafood Spaghetti with Dragon Fruit Bread Bowl, Grilled Prawn with Dragon Fruit Sauce, Dragon Fruit Smashed Potatoes and so on.

For drinks, we tried their Lokal series dragon fruit smoothie known as ‘Dragon Breath’. It is basically freshly blended dragon fruit juice served with some dry ice and cut dragon fruit pieces on top which makes it a real treat but also nicely presented… the food was surprisingly good and I just loved their Dragon Fruit Nasi Lemak
Sepang International Circuit (SIC)

Sepang International Circuit (SIC) is more than just the Home of Motorsports. This dynamic organization is synonymous with MotoGP and other International Events and is the preferred venue for mega outdoor concerts and festivals, as well as motorsports related events.

SIC is located approximately 45 km (28 mi) south of Kuala Lumpur, and close to Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It hosted the Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix between 1999 and 2017, and is also the venue for the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix, the Malaysia Merdeka Endurance Race and other major motorsport events.

The circuit was designed by German designer Hermann Tilke, who would subsequently design circuits including in Shanghai, Sakhir, Istanbul, Marina Bay and Yas Marina. As part of a series of major infrastructure projects in the 1990s under Tun Mahathir Mohamad’s government, the Sepang International Circuit was constructed between 1997 and 1999 close to Putrajaya, the then-newly founded administrative capital of the country, with the intent of hosting the Malaysian Grand Prix.
The Malaysian climate means the circuit is known for its unpredictable humid tropical weather, varying from clear furnace-hot days to tropical rain-storms.

We were lucky to be taken on a tour around SIC and learned many amazing things as well as watch some adrenaline charged races (and even accidents) happened and the experience was truly put of this world!!!!
