Shamsul Bahrin Zainuzzaman, KS2023 Programme Director hope that Malaysians and foreigners will immerse themselves in the various activities planned for this year’s Keretapi Sarong 2023 which secret location was announced at the country’s most iconic and historical place – Dataran Merdeka!
The crowd who will be wearing sarongs and ethnic costumes will all be gathering at Dataran Merdeka after collectively getting on the train from selected stations such as: –

- MRT Bandar Utama
- LRT Ampang
- LRT Gombak
- LRT Subang Jaya
- LRT KL Sentral
- LRT Bukit Jalil
- ERL Putrajaya Sentral

No stranger in connecting Malaysians through a shared love for Malaysian Original Taste through Wonda Kopi Tarik, Wonda Malaysia is looking forward to this partnership with KS2023 to celebrate Keretapi Sarong 2023 this Malaysia Day.
There will be cultural performances, traditional dances, music as well as storytelling sessions which will provide a deeper understanding of Malaysia’s multicultural identity.
The flash mob will also comprise of more than 20 groups from different walks of life including Baba Nyonya Selangor, United Malaysia Hindu Voice, Mandarin Jer, Anak Teater Malaysia, Malaysia Fashion Creative Award, KL Sketch Nation, Street Meet, UITM Shah Alam and DBP.
This year, the event will also be concurrently taking place in the local cities of Johor Baharu (along Sungai Segget), Ipoh (KTMB Ipoh) and Kuala Terengganu (Kampung Budaya Terengganu), as well as in London of United Kingdom (Battersea Power Station as endpoint).
