Eating in a hotel restaurant has many advantages when you are traveling.

Eating at a hotel restaurant can give you peace of mind that the food is safe and prepared to high standards.

Hotel restaurants are also the closest dining option and provide convenience, so you do not need to venture out into the unknown in search for food unless you are very familiar with the area…. And well Tanjung Rhu Resort happens to be quite a distant away from most of the food places I know in Langkawi so we decided to indulge our palates at some of the restaurants available in the hotel….

I enjoy dining at hotel restaurants from time to time as these restaurants offer you the unique experience to try some cuisine that reflects local flavors or offer a taste of home but at a comfortable and clean place….

And here are some of the Tanjung Rhu Beach Resort’s eateries/restaurants which my buddies and I were at….

Sands

This quaint outdoor all-day dining restaurant serves Asian and international cuisines. The place also commands a spectacular view of the beach. It is open daily from 7 am to 11 pm

We had a superb buffet breakfast here at Sands.. they have quite a wonderful spread and I definitely felt very full and contented after having mine.. the ambience is also very laidback and staff friendly and accommodating

You can actually also request to have breakfast in bed or rather in your room, if you are feeling absolutely lazy…. but there is a surcharge of RM 30…

It is better to have buffet at the reataurant itself as there are more selections…

We had lunch here too and the food was pretty good

The Sunset Pool Bar

The 60-m freshwater pool is simply heavenly on hot afternoons, and Tanjung Rhu Beach Resort’s extensive bar menu comprises of a variety of snacks and drinks.

The Sunset Pool is open daily from 7 am to 10 pm. Food & Beverages are available from 10 am to 7 pm.

Saffron

Serving up wood-fire pizzas made in traditional wood fire oven, Saffron serves delicious pasta, pizzas and some western selection… with an open space dining area right next to the beach under the starry skies, what else do you need….

Food & Beverages are available from 5pm to 12am

Private Beach BBQ Dinner, Tanjung Rhu Beach Front

Indulge in a casual and relaxed beachside dining experience at Tanjung Rhu Beach Resort private beach BBQ Dinner!

Tuck in to a 3-hour long al fresco menu of grilled dishes, bread and cream soup, seafood pasta, Caesar salad, and two glasses of house wine.

This private dining venture is perfect for small groups looking for an intimate gathering over good food. Minimum of two persons.

So this is just about what I had at Tanjung Rhu Beach Resort while I was there and I enjoyed all that I had… the staff were amazing and the food really good… there are other restaurant (s) there too but these were the only ones we got to experience, so am sharing that here… so maybe this can help you decide what to eat when in the beautiful tropical paradise that is Tanjung Rhu!!!
