Alam Flora’s Cyber Eco Hunt 2025

Alam Flora, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), continues strengthening its commitment towards promoting responsible waste management practices and cultivating  sustainability through the much-anticipated Alam Flora’s Cyber Eco Hunt 2025 in the small town of Bentong, Pahang

The event reminds everyone of us the importance of simple yet impactful practices that can shape the future of our towns and cities where through it, participants are exposed to a series of engaging challenges with each designed to highlight key aspects of responsible waste management….

The challenges were:

  • Checkpoint 1 – Breakfast with Tiffin: Let’s not do ‘single-plastic-use’… a tiffin carrier or tupperware is environmentally friendly as we can use it multiple times… We should also do our best not to waste food as food waste is thrown into landfill and this can cause methane gas which contribute to global warming

  • Checkpoint 2 – Waste Management Challenge: Change begins from home, and everyone need to understand what sort of daily waste there might be so that we can  separate them according to category …(plastic, paper, glass, domestic wastage and others) and be sure to recognise what can be reused

  • Checkpoint 3 – The Local Hero Challenge: Be kind and considerate to our local unsung heroes…  AFSB comes and help clean up our trash  and help keep our neighbourhood clean and hygienic. We can help then by tying up our trash bags and throwing our trash in the right bins for ease of trash collection… Park your car  properly so that it does not hinder Alam Flora Sdn Bhd trucks from doing their duty. Try to follow to trash collection schedule so there does not have to be unnecessary bulk trash

  • Checkpoint 4 – Trash to Treasure: “Trash to treasure” is a upcycling concept that requires some creativity, sustainability and source usage intelligence. Some trash can actually be made useful and even attractive via the upcycling process . And you will be doing a great service to the landfill while saving money and perhaps developing some new hobby

  • Checkpoint 5 – Message tot he World: The event culminates with a pledge to be responsible citizens that contribute to the environment, and commit to ongoing sustainable practices. Lets all dedicate ourselves to becoming responsible global citizens in doing little things that can change the world by practicing recycling and proper waste management from home as well as getting more creative by upcycling used items at home to create new functionality items
