Exploring Kuala Lumpur with Faith, Flavours & Fun

I am always reminded of how much the city of Kuala Lumpur as well as the suburbs has to offer – a beautiful mix of heritage, faith, flavours, and family-friendly adventures. On a recent trip with the Islamic Tourism Centre Malaysia in conjunction on Islamic Tourism Month, I had the opportunity to experience the city a little differently, with stops that blended culture, halal delights, and meaningful moments.

🌿 My Stay at Perdana KLCC

I checked into Perdana KLCC by Attana, and it immediately felt like a home away from home. The Muslim-friendly suites were spacious, comfortable, and had quran and prayer mats ready for guests and it was just a short stroll away from the Asy-Syakirin mosque and KLCC Park. I loved how convenient it was to find halal food nearby and to have prayer facilities within reach.

🍃 Tasting Dragon Fruit Fresh from the Farm

One of the highlights of my trip was visiting HL Dragon Fruit Eco Farm. There’s something special about tasting dragon fruit fresh off the plant – juicy, sweet, refreshing, and unlike anything you get in the supermarket. I also tried some of their dragon fruit-based drinks – the Dragon’s Breath , which was just perfect for cooling off under the Malaysian sun.

🐓 A Day with Animals at Farm in the City

I couldn’t resist heading to Farm in the City Malaysia in Seri Kembangan. It’s such a lovely place, especially if you’re travelling with kids. I got to feed and interact with the animals – from rabbits to exotic birds – and it really brought back memories of simpler kampung days.

🧕 Discovering Prayerwear Heritage at Laman Khadijah

A visit to Laman Khadijah in Nilai turned out to be one of the most meaningful stops on my trip. The centre showcases the artistry behind prayerwear, especially the traditional telekung. It was inspiring to see how much heritage and love is stitched into each piece.

🕌 A Peaceful Moment at Masjid Negara

Of course, no trip to KL feels complete without a visit to Masjid Negara. Standing inside the national mosque always fills me with a sense of serenity. The architecture is breathtaking, and taking a quiet moment to pray there was truly grounding amidst the city’s energy.

🍫 Halal Chocolates at Batu Caves

Just when I thought my sweet tooth had been satisfied, I made my way to Ryverra Chocolate Story near Batu Caves. Their halal chocolates were such a treat – rich, creamy, and some even had tropical flavours that made them so unique.

🎡 Family Fun at Berjaya Times Square Theme Park

To wrap up my trip, I spent some time at Berjaya Times Square Theme Park. With rides, games, and indoor fun, it was the perfect way to end on a lighthearted note.

✨ This journey reminded me how easy it is to explore Kuala Lumpur with faith, flavours, and fun at the centre of it all. And with GIT Tours & Travels, the experience felt seamless – whether you’re planning a quick getaway, a family holiday, or even a pilgrimage.
