Stay 2025 – My Healing Staycay at Montien Riverside Bangkok

If you’re dreaming of a Bangkok getaway that blends comfort, luxury, serenity, and iconic river views, Montien Riverside Hotel Bangkok could be exactly what you’re looking for. My recent 5 days 4 nights stay at this beautiful 5-star property by the Chao Phraya River was nothing short of incredible,… an experience that perfectly balances pure Thai hospitality with international comfort.

A Luxury Oasis Beside the Legendary Chao Phraya River

Located beside the Chao Phraya River and just steps away from Terminal 21 Rama 3, Montien Riverside Hotel welcomes guests into a world of calm sophistication. The moment I checked in, it felt like stepping into a tranquil oasis…. lush gardens, spacious interiors, and warm smiles everywhere.

What sets this hotel apart?

All 462 rooms offer panoramic river views.
Yes, every single room looks out to the water…. something you won’t easily find elsewhere in the city. Waking up to gentle sunrise reflections over the river quickly became my favourite routine.

Whether it was quiet morning strolls along the riverbank or watching the sky turn gold at sunset from my room, the hotel made every moment feel magical.

Spacious Rooms with True Thai Charm

I stayed in one of their Superior Rooms, and I was impressed by how big it was…. 36 sqm of space, beautifully decorated with Thai wood craftsmanship. The large windows frame a stunning panoramic view of the river, making the room feel peaceful and luxurious.

A small detail I appreciated (and every traveller will too!):
Plenty of power outlets… perfect for charging your smartphones, power banks etc(multiple devices) without hassle.

It’s practical, comfortable, and elegantly Thai… everything you’d want in a Bangkok stay.

A Must-Try: The Signature Montien Hainanese Chicken Rice

Let’s talk food.

One thing you must not miss here is the hotel’s legendary Hainanese Chicken Rice. It is even mentioned in the hit movie “How to Make Millions before Grandma Dies”

The chicken? Tender and juicy.
The rice? Beautifully fragrant jasmine rice.
And the dipping sauce? A perfect balance that ties everything together.

It’s a beloved classic for a reason, and trust me… this dish alone makes dining at Montien Riverside worth it.

Facilities That Make Relaxation Effortless

The hotel’s size means there’s plenty of room to unwind. Some of my favourite facilities include:

  • Outdoor swimming pool with river views
  • Fitness club with modern equipment
  • Sauna & steam rooms
  • Recreational & relaxation amenities
  • Full-service business center for those needing to get work done

Whether you’re here for leisure or business, it’s easy to unwind and recharge.

Convenient Location + Free Shuttle Service

Although Montien Riverside sits in a peaceful riverside location, it’s still very accessible. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to:

  • Terminal 21 Rama 3
  • Asiatique The Riverfront
  • Nearby BTS Station
  • Boat Station on the Chao Phraya

From there, exploring Bangkok’s major attractions is a breeze. You’ll be close to:

  • The Grand Palace
  • Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn)
  • Yaowarat (Chinatown)
  • Iconic riverside temples and markets

It’s the best of both worlds—peaceful retreat + easy access to the city’s highlights.
