Foldable technology took centre stage in Malaysia last week as Samsung brought its Haus of Fold Roadshow to life, celebrating the arrival of its latest Galaxy Z Series and its position as the Malaysian’s Choice of Foldable.

Following the global unveiling of Samsung’s newest foldable innovations at Galaxy Unpacked, excitement around the new Galaxy Z Fold8 was already building among Malaysians. Strong pre-order demand for the Galaxy Z Fold8 in Lavender and Graphite, together with heavy traffic on Samsung’s website, reflected the growing appetite for foldable devices that can keep up with Malaysia’s increasingly dynamic, mobile and connected lifestyle.
And Haus of Fold was the perfect place to experience what all the excitement was about.
A Haus Full of Foldable Experiences
Rather than simply showcasing smartphones, the roadshow transformed the Galaxy Z experience into an interactive playground, with immersive experiential zones highlighting productivity, creativity, entertainment and everyday lifestyle.

It was all about showing how a foldable can fit into the many sides of Malaysian life — from getting work done and creating content on the go, to staying connected, enjoying entertainment and capturing everyday moments.
Samsung’s latest generation of Galaxy Z devices is built on seven generations of foldable expertise and consumer insight, bringing new form factors and new ways to interact with mobile technology.

According to Charles Kim, President of Samsung Malaysia Electronics, the strong response from consumers and media reflected how Malaysians are increasingly embracing foldables as part of their everyday lifestyle.
He also highlighted that the conversation has evolved from simply asking whether to own a foldable to considering which foldable best fits your lifestyle.
Galaxy Z Fold8: Bigger Possibilities, Still in Your Pocket
The Galaxy Z Fold8 brings a wider cover screen designed for quick interactions such as messaging, browsing and short-form video, while its 4:3 main display creates a more immersive space for reading, gaming and watching content.

For those who love multitasking, the Galaxy Z Fold8 offers plenty of screen real estate while maintaining the versatility expected from a foldable smartphone.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra takes the foldable experience even further with a slimmer display structure enabled by Flex Titanium technology, designed to support durability and reduce crease visibility over time.
Its expansive 8-inch main display provides more room for multitasking, while its upgraded camera system is designed to capture greater detail, colour and clarity.
Then there is the Galaxy Z Flip8, Samsung’s sleekest Flip yet. Designed with expression and quick interaction in mind, its reimagined FlexWindow brings apps, insights, actions and assistance directly to the cover screen based on personalised information.
In other words, whether you prefer to unfold, flip or multitask, there was a Galaxy Z experience for every kind of user.
And Yes, Even Malaysian Apps Got the Fold Treatment
One of the more relatable aspects of the Galaxy Z experience was seeing familiar Malaysian favourites become part of the foldable lifestyle.
Samsung collaborated with everyday apps and brands including AmBank, CelcomDigi, Gigi Coffee, GSC Cinemas, iQIYI, Maybank, Maxis and ZUS Coffee.
From banking and coffee runs to entertainment, connectivity and everyday errands, the idea was simple: the technology should fit into the routines Malaysians already have — just with a little more flexibility.
A Merdeka Celebration with a Star-Studded Twist
The Haus of Fold celebration also arrived at a particularly meaningful time, as Malaysia marked 69 years of independence this August.
Bringing Malaysian culture, entertainment and technology together, the event featured a special appearance by the stars of the upcoming action thriller Takluk 2: Op Daulat! — Syafiq Kyle, Mimi Lana, Kamal Adli and Anas Ridzuan.
The actors shared their experiences filming with the Galaxy Z Series and gave guests a preview of the movie’s trailer, bringing themes of courage, resilience and patriotism to the event.

Adding even more star power to the occasion was Malaysian icon Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza, who made a special guest appearance and shared her experience using the Galaxy Z Fold8.
With Malaysian entertainment icons, familiar local brands and Samsung’s latest foldable technology all coming together, the roadshow felt less like a traditional product showcase and more like a celebration of how technology has become woven into everyday Malaysian life.
Folding Technology into Everyday Wellness
The Galaxy ecosystem extended beyond smartphones too.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 were also part of Samsung’s latest lineup, bringing health management and continuous tracking to the wrist.
Powered by the Snapdragon Wear® Elite Platform, both smartwatches combine performance, comfort and battery life with a range of health and wellness insights.
Designed with outdoor adventures and high-performance users in mind, the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 features a 47mm design, 800mAh battery, up to 5,000 nits of brightness, a shock-resistant titanium casing and dedicated outdoor tracking modes.

The Galaxy Watch9, meanwhile, is positioned as an everyday health companion and comes in 40mm and 44mm options, with features including Vitals, Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load and Fitness Index.
Making the Switch Without Leaving Your Digital Life Behind
For anyone hesitant about moving to a new ecosystem, Samsung also highlighted its improved Smart Switch experience.
The idea is straightforward: switching devices doesn’t have to mean starting from scratch.
Contacts, photos, videos, music, messages, files, alarms and more can be transferred to a new Galaxy device, making the transition considerably easier.
No need to leave your digital memories behind just because you decided to fold into something new.
More Than Just a Smartphone
The Haus of Fold Roadshow ultimately showcased Samsung’s latest vision of foldable technology — one that goes beyond simply having a screen that folds.
It is about flexibility, mobility and having a device that adapts to the different ways people live, work, create and connect.
From the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra to the Galaxy Z Flip8 and the latest Galaxy Watch series, Samsung’s newest ecosystem is clearly designed around the idea that there isn’t just one way to use technology.
And perhaps that is what made Haus of Fold particularly relevant to Malaysian lifestyles: because just like the people who use them, these devices are designed to do more than one thing.

The Haus of Fold Roadshow may have wrapped up, but Samsung’s latest generation of foldables is already opening up a new chapter in the way Malaysians experience mobile technology.
Fold it. Flip it. Make it yours.
